All Chapters of Everything Blue : Chapter 31 - Chapter 40

Shaun's POV "Okay, Mackenzie, do I have to use a chainsaw before you pull away from what's mine?" I felt angry and jealous—jealous of the fact that she wanted Mackenzie's comfort. She wanted to be in her company and not mine. I do not know for what reason, but I was not happy."Why, Mr. Vance? I have known Melio for over 15 years now. So why should I leave her for you?""Because she's mine. And I really do not like it when people make claims to what's mine." I saw Melio roll her eyes at me.Mackenzie, between chuckles, said to me, "Then make it known. Make her yours; else, I will have her wrapped in a box and delivered to someone who actually wants to put a name on it."Saying so, she walked away. I could feel Melio's gaze on everything in the room except me. She looked kind of distant. Making my way towards her, I held her gaze. She took in a deep, heavy breath; she was trying hard to be composed.Reaching her, I took her face in my hands and slightly brushed my thumb against her ch

Melio's POV"Well, Chocolate, that's your punishment for being a little firecracker back there. Do it now!"Seriously, this can't be happening. "Why must you do this all the time?" In my opinion, this is the most frustrating part of knowing Shaun. He always gets what he wants. Not ready to argue with him, I did as I was told, but I also intended to make him feel trapped, just as I was trapped in the desires I seek and the pleasure he denied me. Once the traffic light turned red, I raised my skirt to reveal my fair skin. There it was—the look that makes this the cherry on top. He looked disheveled."Should I start now, Daddy?" I said, giving him my most innocent look. Flickering my lashes, I held his gaze shyly."Do not disturb that, or else I will pounce on you here and now." His voice was a husky mess: deep, thirsty, and needy. Now, indeed, two can play. Placing my hands on both sides of my hips, I pulled down my panties, spreading wider than rumors, and deepened my hands into my mou

Shaun’s POVIt was never my plan to treat Melio with such ice-cold behavior; I feel like an animal for doing so. But right now, for the very first time, I feel powerless. I had to do this to ensure Catherine’s marriage remains safe. I didn't know my mother would stoop so low as to go after Malcolm. Well, Malcolm is just another victim of Desney. That psycho did assault him at one point in his life. His mother worked for her as a home attendant in Paris, and that is where she took advantage of him.I learned about Malcolm through the investigation conducted. Putting Desney in prison was not easy; she had power and came from a very wealthy background. It was almost a miracle that she was pinned for her crimes. To this day, I don’t know why I feel so fragile whenever she is mentioned. Yes, at one point, I did "switch up." I made her my sub, but the idea of having let someone control me makes my regret even more grounded. No one controls Shaun Vance—well, except for one red-haired girl. S

Melio's POVI know I should feel broken by his brimming arrogance toward me, but no. He has chosen for himself a life that never involved me. His life was never mine to share, so I will gracefully respect his position and stand on that. I only wished to get through the remaining weeks without losing my mind. With graduation around the corner, I need to get my shit together. My final exams were in two weeks. Finally, my long four-month stay here at Vance Conglomerate will come to an end.We had gotten to the Governor's office, and there I stood as men of high valor made jest of having me for themselves, and Shaun for once did not flinch. Just why do I keep getting my hopes up? He will never be mine. His statement is an assurance of my already doomed fate."Well! She's my intern secretary now. Please keep it simple." There it was. He did announce to the world that I was nothing more than a simple intern, and I for once believed it. So there, I hope they are all happy now.The ride home

Shaun's POV Every day felt like another struggle to watch Melio exist outside my orbit. She had grown indifferent about everything. I had asked Mark if she ever raised a question about my refusal to let her travel along with me for business meetings, and his response frightened me a lot. He basically expressed her calm using the exact words, "Sir! She felt okay and calmer, almost happy to not be around you."The distance between us didn't feel only like physical miles; it was gut-wrenching. My own obstinacy had led to this. I longed for something I could no longer have on a platter: her. Every night I fell into the trance of her soft, fair skin under mine, with her straddling me while my hands held onto her waist.A perfect rhythm of us, just us, away from the world and every indifference. She was a muse to my own destruction. I had seen a shrink for her sake because she wanted me to. I have learned more about Hector than I have in years, and how to tame him. According to the shrink,
