Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Role as Devoted Extra Ends Today: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 8

The large TV screen was showing a news report of Amanda Dawson buying an exorbitantly priced diamond watch as a birthday gift for Leroy Blanchard. At first, I thought that she would be staying with him tonight and wouldn't come back home. However, I received a phone call from her later. In a commanding tone, she said, "Leroy wants to eat the cheesecake bites you made the last time. Make some and deliver them immediately to Skybar Lounge now."I hadn't even said anything when Leroy's voice floated in clearly from the other end of the line."I was just kidding, Mandy. I didn't think you'd really call Caleb about it. Do you think he'll get upset over it?"Someone next to them said, "Don't worry about it, Leroy. Everyone in Carrington knows that Caleb Valencia is Amanda's most loyal lapdog of all time. She can't even get rid of him if she wanted to! Don't you know that he hangs on to every word she says like it's his bible?"I bet you that he would even happily deliver boxes of condo

"Why are you lying, Erica? We didn't use any peanut butter for the cheesecake!" I retorted.Erica just looked at me innocently with confusion written on her face. "It's not on the traditional ingredient list, but you said that Ms. Dawson liked hers with peanut butter. You even purposely made me put a good dollop of it in the batter, Mr. Valencia. What are you talking about?"Amanda immediately stomped on my already hurting calf and screamed, "You absolute bastard! What else do you have to say for yourself?"I let out a cry of pain and choked out brokenly, "We've been married for years, Amanda Dawson. Do you really not know what kind of person I really am?"It's obvious that whatever happened today was an entire ploy to set me up! You can go ahead and investigate it further if you believe me. But if you don't, then just go ahead and assume that I was the one who did it."The only thing that broke me was the fact that Erica, whom I'd treated very well and even thought of as family o

Amanda froze and stared at Paul. "What are you talking about? When have I said to stop feeding the tigers?"Paul shrugged and said, "You sent someone to tell us that Mr. Valencia was being very disobedient and needed a few corners taken off, so we didn't have to feed the tigers afterward."Amanda looked at the two tranquilized tigers again and nearly collapsed to the floor. Still, she lowered her voice and said, "Gut these two beasts at once."She only relaxed a little after realizing that there were no human remains in the tigers' stomachs. Still, she continued to tell her bodyguards to keep looking for me while trying to find out who had given the order not to feed the tigers in her name. The evidence all pointed to Leroy.Amanda immediately got her bodyguards to drag him from the hospital all the way to the animal enclosure, forcing him down on his knees just like what she did to me just days ago. She questioned him coldly, "Were you the one who ordered the rangers to stop fe

I reluctantly nodded and agreed to compromise as the system said. So, I bade goodbye to Mom and Dad, and the system began transmigrating me back into the book universe once more.I was transported back to the home that Amanda and I used to share. The entire house was dark and smelled strongly of alcohol. I walked into the bedroom and saw her lying on what used to be our bed, curling up her tiny body into a tight ball, looking the picture of misery.I went over to draw the curtains and let in some fresh air. Sunlight suddenly streamed into the room, and Amanda frowned in discomfort before shielding her eyes with her hand."Who's there?"I replied softly, "I'm divorcing you, Amanda Dawson."She opened her eyes abruptly and stared at me as soon as she heard my voice. She blinked a couple of times, making sure that I wasn't just a figment of her imagination that would disappear, then rushed up to me to give me a bear hug."Caleb! Where on earth have you been? I've finally found you!
