Kael POV In fury, I picked up the nearest vase and threw it against the wall. It shattered into a hundred pieces across the floor, and still the anger in my chest did not let up. My mother flinched at the sound, and my father's jaw tightened, but neither of them said anything about the mess. They only kept talking, kept trying to smooth things over the way they always did.
