Ramon’s face was sharp and dark as he walked toward them and stopped beside Kelsey, his eyes fixed on the hand Dimitri was still holding. “She is my wife,” he said again to Dimitri, as if telling him to let go of her hand. Dimitri released her hand immediately, only then realizing he was still holding it after unclenching her fist. “We are getting a divorce though,” Kelsey said to Dimitri trying to correct Ramon’s words. “I see,” Dimitri nodded with a pleasing smile, and for no reason, that smile almost pushed Ramon over the edge. “I will see you some other time, Kelsey,” he added before leaving, not wanting to stay any longer.
