CHAPTER 31: THE KILLER LOOK ELENA: I had only just finished my new duty of scrubbing down Adrian’s massive master bedroom, aching from head to toe, and returned to my room to finally get some rest when a sharp knock sounded at the door. I dragged myself off the edge of the bed and swung the door open, expecting to see Anna, or any of the maids. Instead, Beta Clement was standing, holding himself with his usual formal posture. "Good afternoon, Elena," Clement said politely. "I’m here to inform you that Alpha Adrian will be taking you out for a birthday dinner this evening. He wants you to be aware early enough." I frowned, my eyebrows knitting together in total confusion. "A date?" Clement nodded, a tiny, respectful smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You could call it that, yes.
