Chapter 31 Adrian’s POV The room had finally gone quiet. Sadie and Ethan had left almost thirty minutes ago after the nurses practically forced them out. Apparently, visiting hours mattered to everyone except me. Not that anyone here would dare tell me to leave. I stood near the large window of Lara’s hospital ward, my hands tucked into my pockets as rain slid down the glass outside. The city lights blurred beneath the storm, but my attention kept drifting back to the woman lying on the hospital bed behind me. Lara shifted slightly. “You’re still here,” she murmured sleepily.
