KATYA I rose to my feet the second Lily stepped into the room. The door had barely finished opening before tension filled the air. I could already see the accusation in her eyes. The anger, suspicion and the absolute certainty that somehow everything was my fault. I opened my mouth, preparing to explain that nothing inappropriate had happened between Nikolai and I but a groan interrupted me. Both of us turned. Nikolai shifted against the pillows. His brows pulled together before his eyes slowly opened. For a second he looked disoriented then his gaze moved between us. "What is all that noise?" he muttered. KATYAI could feel my heart pounding so violently against my ribs right now as I continued to yell at the top of my lungs for somebody to come and help. I watched as Lily rushed forward. “Why are you yelling?” she asked, irritation on her face. "This meeting has been called under unfortunate circumstances." Lily declared, as soon as she walked into the room of gather council members.
