CHAPTER 180: QUITE THE MORAL BATTLE. The night was calm and quiet. Dog barks in the neighborhood traveled far with little obstruction. Using the cover of the night, hiding behind trees, Mario stalked the house like a predator. He kept a keen watch on the house, observing the cops that were assigned to guard the Mayor's residence. Mario also tried to observe what went on within the house, but the curtains were drawn, blocking off visibility. But he knew the layout of the house. He knew where everyone was supposed to be. He checked his smartwatch and saw that it was an hour to midnight already. So, he braced himself and headed to the house. He knew some of the cops who were assigned to guard the house that night. It was his intention not to harm any of the cops. His target was within the house.
