All Chapters of Tempted by the Tycoon: Chapter 41 - Chapter 50

MeadowIt had been a few weeks since work had resumed fully and it felt like all my bad decisions were catching up to me. Jamey- My boss hadn’t tried talking to me aside the single text he sent that night. The photo fiasco: Are you okay?Who was he to ask me that?He was every reason why I wasn’t but I would rather die than admit that.I restricted our communication to work related emails. It was a relief that I hadn’t had to work late or attend meetings or business trips with him, it would have been a lot harder if I did.It was for the best, but somewhere deep down I missed it.I missed him.No Meadow. No you don’t.Although, His fiancé-Debby made it relatively easier to keep hating him. She strolled in and out of his office every other day, and always left with a huge grin on her face.Whatever. I didn’t care. I’m still very thankful that Jamey had sound proof doors and walls, because I wasn’t sure how I handle hearing whatever they were doing or saying in there that made her leav

JameyPanic.I panicked at the office when Meadow passed the stupid message Debby gave, I panicked when I follow her from work and watch her get dinner and walk home, I panicked when I see her dumbass ex wait for her outside of her apartment, I panicked when they spent over 2 hours in her apartment and I panicked when I watched him kiss her.It was also panic that made me drive away as she walked to my car.But what was I supposed to do? How was I going to explain that I had been following her since the left work and had been watching her. She would think I was stalking her. I mean technically I was but in a good way. Or worse she would think I was a creep. The truth? I was slowly turning into one.But I knew she knew. I knew she knew I was there when she hesitated to go upstairs with him, when she looked out of the window of her apartment and when she walked calmly towards me.She knew.I was a mess without her. I didn’t think my life could get any worse but somehow, someway, it di

MeadowBad decisions. That’s what he tasted like.Bad decisions I knew I would probably regret tomorrow when I told Katie but right now, in this moment I couldn’t care less. I wanted Jamey and most importantly, he wanted me.The way his tongue moved dominating my mouth told me he wanted me, the way his hands explored my body told me he wanted me, the way he gently groaned into my mouth told me he wanted me.This wasn’t one sided and that helped ease my guilt but not completely.Placing my palm on his chest, I gently push needing to break the kiss and catch my breath.Breathlessly whispering, “We shouldn’t be doing this. It-its wrong” This was wrong in every sense of the word but nothing felt so right. Our foreheads rested against each other I feel him take a deep breath.“Yet here we are.” His husky voice, breathlessly spoke.I feel his hands tighten round my waist as his mouth gently began placing kisses on the side of jaw and my ear. My ear, that was my weakness. His tongue rolled

JameyI should have stayed.Maybe if I did she wouldn’t have looked at me like I was the worst person in the world, maybe she wouldn’t have pressed her face against the pillow to hide her tears, maybe she wouldn’t have gone to the club and gotten drunk or bumped into Omar, and he wouldn’t have had to drive them home while I watched from across the street.I was a coward. I couldn’t even face after I left her.My life was a series of unfortunate events, especially now that Debby was more involved than ever.First, I feel like an asshole for leaving Meadow after everything that happened, then I return home to find my apartment trashed by Debby and then I get a text from Omar telling me he ran into Meadow at a club and she’s wasted. I mentally ignore the part where he went on and on about how hot her friend was.I wanted to be the one to pick her up and drop her off back home but I knew I was the last person she would want to see or want help from. So when I watched her stare straight at

MeadowHave you ever had an unusual amount of sleep? You know, when you’re lying in bed and you feel the amount of sleep you’re getting is too much but you don’t want to get up so you’re just there waiting for your alarm. Yup, that’s me right now.Since I started working for Jamey, my alarm wakes me up by 6am but today I was up before the alarm.Weird.But it gave me time to prepare the outfit I wanted to wear in my head. Come to think of it I haven’t seen my leather skirt in a long time, I make a mental note to ask Katie if she took it.The sound of Titi Me Pregunto by bad bunny startles me as I turn to my phone to silence. I forgot I made it my ringtone.“Mum? Why are you calling so early? Is everything okay?” I said sitting up in bed.I hear her laugh, “I mean it is just my only daughter’s birthday”The fuck? How had I forgotten my own birthday?Well I can’t really be blamed after the heated meeting and events of last night, it completely skipped my mind.“Don’t tell me you actually
