CHAPTER 92 AVA’S POV "Let him in, Maya," I said softly, sliding my hand out of Draken's grip so I could sit up a bit straighter against the pillows. Draken didn't move immediately. His eyes remained fixed on the door, his jaw tightly locked as his massive frame radiated a cold, protective warmth. I reached out, pressing my hand against his forearm until I felt the stiffness in his muscles begin to yield. "He just returned from the borders, Draken," I murmured, keeping my voice low and easy. "He is your brother. Go review the guard rotations with the vanguard. I will be fine." With a heavy exhale, Draken rose from the edge of the mattress.
