Lahat ng Kabanata ng Awakening - Eve Of Eden: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

There’s no doubt I lust for this demon in crazy ways. There’s a tingle, a pause, a sudden need for him to kiss me already, as I get lost in those darkest brown, almost black eyes. So perfect in shape and size, set in the most beautiful face. Smooth skin, nicely tanned, flawless features. Wide shoulders, a masculine scent that’s pleasant and alluring. He’s the full sexy package I have been waiting for my entire life. The hair on my body stands to attention as every inch of me tingles and ignites.Kaelin's pupils dilate, his gaze slides so slowly from my eyes to my mouth against his will, and he seems to lean a millimeter in before catching himself. Pulled by that same magic force of attraction. So slight, so breathy, as though transfixed by me and th

I must have finally fallen asleep because the next thing I know, I'm blinking groggily at the low-burning coals as they smolder peacefully, and the silent, deep-breathing form of Kaelin on the other side comes into view. I don’t know when he came back, but he’s over there, sound asleep and looking every bit my idea of a fantasy. So annoying.Asleep, he has a gentle, peaceful expression. His long lashes lay so delicately, like little fans, and his normally slightly mean upturn at his mouth corners, like he's smirking, is softened and straight. He’s on his side, facing me, hair messier from lying on it, so some strands are hanging across his nose, and yet there’s something so safe and serene about his presence. He looks like he could do no wrong. For a little demon, he’s incredibly angelic this way.

He gives in to primal urges and lets his inner dominant come out to play. The part of us ruled by animal needs and not human thoughts. The kiss becomes harder, faster, and more passionate as tongues get braver and movements get practiced. Raking my fingers through his hair so more comes down, and I arch into him while his fingers trail up my spine and into my hair with his other hand. Consuming me like he wants to climb inside my skin.I've never been so turned on in my life, and the low whining moan of needing more that I expel is both involuntary and clear about what I want. Pulling out my fingers and caressing softly down his neck and to the front of his shirt to pull open where they cross over, urged on by the pulsing need in me and his willingness to follow. I arch so my breasts meet his chest as I suck on his bottom lip and

“I need you to stay here and not go anywhere. Understand? I’ll go ahead and check out what’s happening on my own. I can cover ten times the distance in half the time if you stay and wait for me.” Kaelin seems to forget that he’s keeping his distance, catching both my upper arms and nudging me into attention to face him. Locking eyes, making it clear I'm to listen and obey. He’s all bossy and commanding now, acting protective and not all pissy and aloof.I want to refuse and go with him, but logic tells me to sit my ass down. We’re so close to the mountain now that he could make it there as a wolf or by his disappearing act much faster and scout out what he can sense. Probably within the hour and come back. I have been slowing him down for days.“Shouldn’t I find somewhere better to hide?” This seems a little open and out here, in case anyone happens this way.“It’s safe here. The pack

Scrunching up my face, praying this isn't dumb, hating that I have to sacrifice it, I let go of the dagger and the root, letting my foot skip the boulder and manic scramble through wet mud to keep enough of a hold to make me slide the wall instead of falling backward. It’s the only way not to die.It works, and I smear down and out into the stream like a kid's play slide, with more woosh than snail-trail. Face down, getting wetter and muddier, and stop right in the middle with an anticlimactic splash that further grazes my hands and knees with pebbles. Fingers black now with mud rather than blood, and I scramble to my feet, weighed down with filth and dampness. Suddenly heavier, given I have to kneel in water to get up. Wiping my eyes that are now smeared and manky.I’m in some deep crevice carved by the stream that has steep wet sides and yet goes off in both directions like a long vein on the land.  In width, it's not even that far, maybe eight feet
