Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Heir's Child: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

The Doctor's theory was right. I am feeling way better than I did before coming out with my friends. There is no way that I would be feeling this well if I were still at home with my parents. In my room.Alone. For days. That is not something that I ever want to repeat. The fact that I made it as long as I did was quite astounding. Instead of taking me back home, as promised, Lyall helps me find one of the guest rooms for me to rest in for the night. It is one of the same rooms that I spent plenty of nights in while I was a young child. My parents would sometimes go away on business for the alpha for days at a time. Whenever they did this, I was invited to stay in the Alpha family's quarters in one of their guest rooms. That way I was not stuck in the normal pack hall with all of the unmated wolves running around. While most of us wait for our mates, we do have times where it is near impossible for us to not satiate some of our other needs. We might not crazy the emotional intimac

After the revelation that I received, I really expected to lay up all night with my mind running nonstop. The truth is, I end up asleep almost immediately. I manage to fall asleep so fast that I do not even hear my phone go off with a return messages from my cousin.Raven: You don't send SOS unless somebody is dying.A second message followed almost immediately.Raven: What happened? Then another.Raven: Actually, never mind. I'm already packing a bag.A final message arrived a few minutes later.Raven: Call me when you wake up. If somebody hurt you, they're going to regret it.Then again, I was not expecting her to message back this quickly. She has always been the type to do things on her own schedule. That is the way of most witches but she has managed to take that trait to an extreme. My eyes close without any further thoughts of her. No thoughts of anything actually. The silence is the most amazing I have had in days. That is, until it stops. All of a sudden I start getting flash

"Rowan, you still have not eaten much. Do you want something else? Maybe even just some coffee?" Lyall asks.I may not know much about pregnancy, but I have heard that too much caffeine is bad for the pup. One cup probably would not hurt and I do love my coffee. Once again though, the thought of something that I love makes my stomach get queasy.Instead, I shake my head while I try to think of something else that sounds good. Normally, I would gravitate towards something lighter and healthy because I am always training. This pup seems to have other ideas. "Maybe just some pancakes." I say."Pancakes? Really? I do not remember ever seeing you eat pancakes." He points out. "I know. Just plain pancakes with light syrup. No butter." I say as my stomach growls loudly again. He lets out a laugh as he gets up to go and grab me another plate. I smile guiltily as he walks towards the food line. He has been amazing at taking care of me since he found out about the wheelchair yesterday. I just

Before long, Raven has me in a different room not far from the pack dining room. As soon as she pushes me into some obscure office, she closes the door and begins to wave her hands in some way that makes absolutely no sense to me, but I am able to feel magic ripple in the air as her hands keep moving. "Okay, now that I have you alone, what is going on? You cannot send me an SOS with no other clues. Then, when I arrive you are practically in tears while speaking to the Alpha and Luna. You are better than that. I know that, you know that. What is going on!?" She asks in disbelief.I am so excited to see her and see how the rest of the pack acted around her that it takes my mind a few moments to catch up. Before I can even answer her, I just start laughing hysterically. As much as I want to stop and explain myself, I am unable until well after tears form in my eyes and run down my face."Okay, I am really confused now. What is going on?" She asks again. I take a few deep breaths as I w

"You need to come with me," Raven said urgently."What do you mean?" I asked, confused.Raven had been absolutely insistent ever since she finished examining me.Leave.Today.Not tomorrow. Not after I had time to think.Today.The word echoed through my mind like a death sentence.Leave my pack.Leave my home.Leave my friends.Leave Lyall. All because of a child I hadn't even known existed twenty-four hours ago.A child that apparently wasn't normal.A child that had already managed to turn my entire life upside down before it was even born."You know that you can't raise this baby here," Raven said firmly.I looked away. The truth was, part of me already knew that.I just didn't want to admit it."You heard the Alpha this morning," she continued. "You heard the Luna. Something is wrong.""They were just asking questions.""No."The force in her voice made me look back at her."They weren't asking questions. They were fishing."My stomach tightened.I hated that I knew exactly what
