When we pull into the diner, I am happy to see all of our friends waiting outside for us. It is one of those old school diners where you almost expect the wait staff to be rolling around on skates, delivering burgers and milkshakes. They do have the burgers and milkshakes, they do not have the skates though. Instead, all of the staff wear shoes that are reminiscent of bowling shoes.I smile as Lyall comes over to open the door and help me into the wheelchair. After lunch, Lyall loads me back into his truck and takes me to the pack house. Just like with all pack houses, ours has rooms with activities for all ages. When we were toddlers, we used to stay in rooms that the Luna oversaw. The Luna of each pack always takes interest in the youngest members of a pack. It is almost like it is in their DNA to be motherly.As we got older, we got to play in the game rooms that are practically a full on arcade. There are old fashioned pin ball games, arcade games and an entire wall full of televisions and gaming consoles. There are even mini fridges full of snacks for all of the kids to enjoy after school.For the even older children, as well as those that just need a recreational activity, there is a pool, air hockey, foosball table and even a hot tub. Outside the dressing rooms, the boys are waiting for us next to the pool. They both look a little nervous as we walk out, like they were getting worried about us. They were definitely both talking about me though. The way that they cut off mid sentence is a dead give away. "Get on over here." Luckily, the pool is sometimes used to help injured werewolves recover after some pretty freak accidents, so we happen to have an entire set up for somebody that is injured to get into the pool.There is a sling that all I have to do is sit on, that lowers me into the pool and helps support me as I settle into the water. After the mention of me losing weight, the pool loses a little bit of it's previous fun. Just enough that we all decide to go and watch a movie in the theatre room instead. After River helps me change out of my swimsuit once again that is.The theatre room here is so far beyond any public theatre that you could go to. There are couch style chairs, loveseat chairs and single chairs. They are all placed far enough apart from the one next to them that they can lounge back into almost a full bed.Lyall pushes me over to one of the loveseat ones and helps me maneuver into it. I smile at him gratefully as I unsuccessfully try to push the back of the seat back on my own. He laughs slightly as I struggle before helping me lower it back."This larger one will be easier for you to be in. You can keep your food and drinks right on the seat with you and it will be easier to help you out of when we are done."
