Semua Bab Until My Last Breath: Living My Final Months With the Devil : Bab 1 - Bab 10

The moment my feet touched the ground outside, I froze. The world felt so big, so alive, and I was just standing there, afraid to blink in case it disappeared. The soft breeze brushed against my skin, carrying scents of fresh grass, flowers, and life itself. It felt strange yet beautiful… like a dream I’d been waiting to wake up from for years.I tilted my head up, staring at the endless blue sky. It was brighter than I remembered, stretching wide like freedom itself. The sun warmed my face, and for a second, I just stood still, letting the warmth sink deep into my bones. My heart raced not from fear, not from sickness but from pure excitement, like a child seeing the world for the first time.I felt tears prick my eyes, but this time, they weren’t from sadness alone. They were from the overwhelming beauty of being outside, breathing the same free air as everyone else. I wanted to run, to laugh, to spin around and scream that I was alive… even if my time was running out.For years, I

The next morning, Alina slipped into a loose, pastel-colored t-shirt tucked neatly into a pair of light blue denim jeans. White sneakers hugged her feet, and her hair was tied up in a messy ponytail that framed her delicate features. A small backpack hung casually over her shoulder, giving her a simple yet effortlessly cute look.Grabbing her phone, she walked out of her room and headed downstairs, where her parents were already waiting, tension heavy in the air.“Alina,” Mr. Cole began, his voice low and hesitant, “I think you should stay home today. The Devil… he’s not a man to be trifled with. I don’t want to risk your life.”Alina stopped halfway down the stairs, her expression unreadable for a moment before a stubborn fire lit her eyes. “Life? What life, Dad?” she said firmly, surprising even herself with how steady her voice sounded. “The same life that’s slipping away in just a few months? If risking what little time I have left can save our family, then I’ll do it.”She was st

It was 6 p.m., and Alina was still lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. Suddenly, her stomach growled loudly, pulling her back to reality. She glanced at the clock on the wall; it was dinner time. With a reluctant sigh, she dragged her lazy body out of bed to look for the butler, but a knock sounded on the door before she could leave. When she opened it, a young, beautiful woman stood there, smiling sweetly."Good evening, Miss. I’m here to let you know that dinner is ready," the woman said politely, bowing slightly. She looked to be in her early thirties, dressed in a maid’s uniform, and was strikingly attractive.Alina smiled back, silently wondering why everyone working for the Devil was so good-looking. She followed the maid as she led the way.The maid brought her to an enormous hall, the dining room. Alina’s eyes widened as she took in the long table, which could easily seat about twenty people on each side. The table was made of sleek black wood, adorned w

After Alina was done with her breakfast, her stomach felt bloated, as if she were a pregnant woman. She even struggled to stand up before slowly making her way to her room.Once inside, she grabbed her phone from the table. As expected, there were numerous messages from her parents and from Helen. She quickly replied to her parents’ messages before lying on the bed and starting a chat with Helen. After talking with her for a long time, she drifted off to sleep.---Alina stood in the middle of an empty road. The sky was an eerie shade of blood-red, the air heavy and unmoving. Everything felt wrong, silent, except for the faint echo of her own heartbeat in her ears. She had no idea where she was. She began walking forward, each step sounding unnaturally loud in the stillness. The road stretched endlessly into the horizon, flanked by abandoned buildings, windows shattered, doors hanging loose. Then she heard it.Footsteps.Slow. Deliberate. Coming from behind her.Her stomach tightened.

Alina lay sprawled on her bed, her face buried in the pillow as soft sobs escaped her. She didn’t even fully understand why she was crying; maybe she just needed to let it out, but deep down, she knew she was upset with Liam.It wasn’t just about him not liking the hairstyle she made for him… it was the way he said it. No smile, no hint of appreciation, just cold words that felt like a slap. Her chest tightened with frustration. Ungrateful man, she thought, sniffing. The quiet of the room was broken by the sound of her door opening. She lifted her head slightly, and even without looking properly, she knew it was him. The maids never opened her door without knocking. She turned to glance toward the door. Liam stood there, tall and composed, his face unreadable as always. But what caught her eye was his hair, the braid she’d worked so hard on was gone. His hair was back to its usual style, the perfectly neat look that made him seem even colder… and, annoyingly, even more handsome. Her l
