The security monitor revealed the same woman standing outside, completely still under the porch light.Evelyn’s grip on my hand tightened."Sebastian, it’s her.""I know."The woman from the photograph was standing outside our house. The same woman that Evelyn had seen in her memories.The same woman whose name had been mentioned again and again in the Project Eve files. Eve.I tried to grab the door knob, but stopped short of opening the door. There was something eerie about the way she was standing out there as if she knew where our house was and the right time to find us.I looked at Evelyn."Are you sure?"She nodded slowly."I’m sure."I opened the door slightly, after unlocking it while keeping the security chain intact.
