Evelyn's POV I sat there quietly as the conference room doors opened and three police officers walked in. The room that was already tense became more serious.Even Tiffany, who had been yelling a minute before, became quiet. Fear showed up on her face as she looked at the officers.One of the officers walked forward with some papers. He looked really calm as he stared at Tiffany."Miss Tiffany Walker." He said in a voice. "You are being investigated for sabotage destroying company property trying to hurt someone and hurting them badly and messing with evidence."Tiffany's face turned white. Her hands started shaking as she realized what was happening.Her eyes looked around the room like she was searching for someone to help her. She was desperate. It replaced the confidence she had for months.Then she looked at Damien. Hope showed up on her face."Damien." Her voice was shaking as she took a step towards

Evelyn's POVThe private investigator showed up on time. That told me he had found somethingWe met at a café a few blocks away from Hartwell Technologies. This place was quiet enough that we would not get any attention.There was a folder on the table between us. The investigator put his hand on it. He did not open it right away.I noticed he was hesitant. In our meetings he was always straight to the point."Did you find something?" He looked serious. "I found more than I thought I would."I got a feeling in my chest. Victoria's POV I had reached the end of my patience.For weeks I watched my son Damien fall apart while Evelyn Hart kept moving with the divorce. Every time I got an update it made me more frustrated.Damien was not himself anymore. He had lost his focus his temper was over the place and his fixation on Evelyn was getting worse every day.The situation was really embarrassing.The Sinclair family had spent years building a reputation. Evelyn's POV Victoria Sinclair stared at the pictures spread across the table. The confidence she had when she came to this meeting was gone now.Her fingers were tight around the picture. It clearly showed Damien and Chloe going into an apartment building. There was no way to mistake either of them."This is not possible." Her voice did not sound as sure as before.I leaned back in my chair. I watched her reaction. "That is what I thought when I first saw these pictures."Her eyes went to me. "Damien told me he ended things with Chloe."I almost smiled. It was not a happy smile. "Damien tells people what they want to hear."Victoria picked up another picture. This one showed Damien leaving Chloe's apartment after midnight. The time on the picture left no room for excuses.Her face got darker as she looked at the picture. Damiens POVI was sitting at my desk in my office going over some papers when my phone rang out of the blue. I looked at the caller ID. I saw that it was my mom.I got a feeling in my chest right away. My mom, Victoria, does not call me late at night unless something is wrong.I picked up the phone without waiting. "Mom?"There was a pause on the other end of the line.
