Bound To The Wolfe のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 91 - チャプター 100

AUGUST“I am on my way to your hospital right now. Please be prepared.” “Okay, Mr Wolfe.” With that, I hung up.My fingers looked for her number before dialing it.“Auggie? What happened? You never call.” Elena’s voice sounded through the phone.“Elena. I need you to come to the hospital right now.”“What happened to you?” She asked, her voice rising.“Someone broke into the house and tried to take Drea. I need someone to stay beside her.” I explained.“I will be right there.” With that, I hung up.I kept looking at Drea every once in a while.Pulling up in front of the hospital, I rounded the car and carried her out of her seat and into an awaiting gurney Dr Anthony had already prepared. My heart pounded against my chest when she stirred on the bed.“Drea,” I called out, walking alongside the nurses who pushed her into the hospital.“August.” She cried.I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders. My hands stroked her hair as we moved into the hospital.“It’s going to be okay

DREA“Just walk us through everything that happened. Do not leave anything out.” He explained.I nodded, racking my brain to remember every detail“So I got home around 1 pm. I noticed that most of the guards were gone and was told that they were handling an issue at the back gate of the house.” I started, while they both wrote something in their books.“There were three guards present with me in the house. I went to the kitchen, got lunch, and exited the kitchen.”He nodded, writing.“Sorry to interrupt.” The older one said, turning to August.“You mentioned that you got a text from the person?” He asked. My eyes widened.August looked at me before nodding.“What time was that?” Detective Wes asked August.August pulled out his phone and scrolled through some messages.“1:13 pm,” August responded.“And there was a photo attached to it?” He asked August.August nodded again. He showed me the picture and my heart stopped. There I was, sitting on a kitchen stool in the house. They were

AUGUST“26?” He asked again and the guy—Justin nodded.Detective Roberts sighed, leaning back against his chair.“I get that you want to exercise your rights of remaining silent, but we never arrested you. You turned yourself in, so you are going to have to talk.” Detective Roberts explained.“Okay.” He finally talked.“How do you know August Wolfe?” Detective Roberts asked.“I deliver groceries to his house.” He answered.“How are you involved in the attack that happened?” Detective Roberts asked him.Justin took a deep breath.“I was the one who planted a recording device in his house.”My body stiffened, and my fist tightened.“Why would you do that?” Detective Roberts asked.“Just to listen in on conversations.” He responded. Now that didn’t make sense. No one could get in and out of the house just like that.Even if he was able to, I doubt it was just to listen in on conversations.“Based on whose orders?” He raised both of his handcuffed hands, placing them on the table.“I wor

DREA“Do you want a house tour?” I looked up at August and nodded rapidly. He laughed, wheeling me into the living room. The living room centered around a modern fireplace framed by textured stone.I was wheeled into the open-plan kitchen which had gourmet matte black cabinetry, quartz countertops, and top-of-the-line appliances.Every room offered unobstructed views of the surrounding greenery. The structure of this house was amazing.I was wheeled into a hallway with only one door at the far end.“That is your room.” He stated, pushing me towards the black door.He pushed it open and all the air got knocked out of my lungs. The room—if I could even call it that—occupied an entire wing of the house, complete with a private lounge, walk-in closet, and a luxurious bathroom featuring a soaking tub overlooking a garden courtyard. He dropped my bags in the lounge before wheeling me back out into the living room.At the rear of the property, sliding glass doors opened onto an expansive ter

AUGUSTWithin minutes, I saw his car pull up in the driveway through the glass building.Ian stepped out dressed in a matching blue set which was a pair of joggers and a hoodie. He rang the doorbell and I stopped Drea just as she stood up to go and get it.“Don’t even think about it,” I told her, and she stuck her tongue out playfully.I smiled, turning my attention back to my guest.I slowly made my way towards the front door and pulled it open.Ian stood there with an unreadable expression on his face.“Hi.” He muttered.I moved aside, gesturing that he come in.He nodded, stepping into the house and heading towards the kitchen where Drea sat.“Hi Ian.” She smiled, and I watched him bend down to hug her.“How are you feeling?” He asked her, pointing to her leg.“It’s torture!” She sighed, closing her eyes slightly. He laughed as a response, before the house fell quiet.“So….” Drea started, and I looked at her.“Talk to him.” She mouthed, her eyes wide.I cleared my throat, scratchin
