Kian's POV *********I parked beside the small eatery downtown. It didn’t look like much from the outside, just glass doors and lights spilling onto the sidewalk. Inside it was packed. Tables pushed close together, filled with couples, families, kids running between chairs. The air smelled like fried plantain, coffee, and garlic. Ariana smiled the second we walked in, and god, that smile. It hit me every time. Someone came over right away, wiping their hands on an apron and leading us to an empty table in the corner. I grabbed the menu. It was laminated, a little worn at the edges, with stains from other people’s meals. "What are we trying?" she asked, leaning over to look. Her hair fell forward and she tucked it behind her ear without thinking. I scanned it and pointed at a few things. "We’re getting the stuff everyone comes here for."
