XAVIE Despite the fact that this wasn’t the first time his mouth had been on me, my face still heated up in the darkness as he paused right there. My breath hitched at the first pick of his tongue down my pussy, stopping at the stop to suck my clit into his mouth. I jerked, a sob caught in my throat. Grabbing on to his hair, my hips moved on their own accord. Torn between wanting more and the desire to push him away, I moaned. He was incredibly good with his tongue, robbing me off oxygen every time he swept his tongue across my pussy. Then he paused, raising his head to look at him. The same way he had gone down, he came back up to kiss me. Teasing myself on his tongue, made me kiss him harder. Breaking away, he flipped us over, causing me to gasp then giggle. We both pause as the pure sound escapes my lungs. Smirking at me, he laid back, positioning me above his head. Directly over his mouth, grabbing hold of the bed board as he started to eat me out, like a man starved. “Ohhh…

XAVIE We gathered around the dining area on the night of the masquerade ball. Guilt has kept me away from Kian these past few days, mainly because it is startling to feel like he could tell. Did he know that I could hear what he was thinking? Feel his emotions most of the time and is patiently waiting for me to say something? It was driving me crazy. I told myself I was going to stop doing it. But he wouldn’t stop thinking about me! His thoughts these past few days were very confusing, they include me of course. Which is where the confusion comes to play. Even when he thought I wasn’t looking, I would catch him staring at me. Sometimes he doesn’t bother hiding it, he would even winked at me! Was he playing some kind of mind games with me? “If Alpha Alec is holding a masquerade ball, according to Kian. It could only mean one thing, he is planning something big. And since I’m not invited to this ball, I’ll tag along regardless, to blend you.” Logan was saying, snapping me out of my

XAVIE As my fist slammed onto Elizabeth’s face, I was filled with an incredible amount of satisfaction. Letting out an outrageous scream, she launched toward me, bearing her fangs in anger. I brace myself even though I knew I couldn’t take her in a fight. However, Kian suddenly cut in front of me, shielding me from the force of her attack. Seeing that Kian was now the one at the forefront of her attack, she stopped. “Get out of my way Alpha Kian!” She growled, still fighting to get to me. I didn’t know why I was expecting either Annika or Alec to step forward and put a stop to the fight. Instead they were being entertained just like the other guests. Looking at them, an idea occurred to me, this might not have been our plan, but we could definitely use it to our advantage. “You think I’m scared of you?” I hissed, reaching behind Kian to get to her. Cut in the middle of two women, Kian tried desperately to stop us from getting access to one another. I was dimly aware of the guest

KIAN Looking out to the ocean, listening to the waves crashing against the shore. He reached out to absentmindedly stroke Wolf, who nuzzled further into him. The dog lets out a whine, as if it could feel his sadness. The last time he was here, he had sworn never to return. Yet whenever he was feeling down or angry, he found himself returning to the same spot. This morning, it was a mixture of both. An unspoken anger he hadn’t felt in a long time course through his body. He couldn’t be around anyone—especially Xavie. Thinking about her made his chest hurt. While he thought she was starting to feel the same way about him, to find out she was that way around him was due to the fact that she was intruding on his thoughts and feeling guilty about it. The revelation came down on him like a dagger being inserted into his heart. He felt pathetic, and furious at himself. As much as he wanted to blame her, he blamed himself for losing sight of what was right. Haven’t he learned his lesson t

XAVIE I could feel that something was missing. But for whatever reason, I couldn’t tell what it was and no one has been able to provide me with an explanation that made sense.Becoming conscious for the second time, I noticed this wasn’t the room I was in the first time. Discarding the sheets to the side, I climbed out of bed, checking the walls for any photographs that might give me an idea of what my life was. The only explanation offered to me by the healer was that I feel unconscious after being sick for a long period of time. Aside from the feeling of something missing, I felt completely fine. Coming to the realization that nothing in the bedroom reminded me of anything about myself, I grew tired and slumped down on the bed. I glimpsed my appearance from the mirror, causing me to draw closer to it. I changed my mind at the last second, instead reaching for the closet. Clothes, accessories, shoes, and bags reflected back at me. Smiling at the prettiness, I turned sharply, shut
