XAVIE The household was up, and I was pacing around the ground floor with Tint. One minute, I had been asleep and the next, I was woken up by an earthquake and a blaring noise of siren. Guards are fiercely guarding the entrance of the palace, making sure no one gets in or out. Waiting for news was causing me more anxiety even though I knew Kian could handle himself out there, his enemies should be the one worried. Hearing the door open, I looked up, watching as an unfamiliar older woman approached me on the bed, carrying a tray.
