Semua Bab The Alpha Begged After I Chose His Brother: Bab 1 - Bab 9

The Moonstone Hall hummed with suppressed tension. My father, Alpha Theron Silvermoon, slammed his fist on the stone dais. His deep, rumbling voice echoed through the chamber, carrying the weight of centuries of tradition.“Today, the Moon Goddess will choose a mate for Nova, my only daughter, and the voice of the Goddess on earth. The man she chooses will be the next Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack.”I stepped forward, my silver gown whispering against the cold stone floor, and rested my fingertips on the moonstone. It warmed beneath my touch, thrumming with the same ancient power that ran through my veins. I could feel the Goddess’s presence, faint but unmistakeable, waiting to speak.“Each heir will place a drop of blood on the stone,” I said, my voice clear and steady. No one dared interrupt me. “The Goddess’s chosen will make it glow with pure silver light.” The first three younger heirs exchanged glances. I could see the hunger for the Alpha’s throne in their eyes, sharp as a w

The name hung in the air like a ghost. No one had spoken it in ten years.Elias Voss. The fifth heir. My true fated mate.Ten years ago, his mother had died of a mysterious illness. A seer had claimed that her spirit had cursed the pack, and that Elias must be sent to the remote, secluded mountain wolf retreat to atone for her sins. He had been twelve years old.No one had seen him since. No one but me.In my last life, I had never met him until the day I died. He had descended from the mountains, his robes soaked in blood, his wolf form still half-shifted, and had torn through half the pack to avenge me. He had held my burning body in his arms, and I had felt his tears fall on my skin—hot, and alive, and full of a love I had never known. He had been the only one who had ever cared.I left the fortress at dawn. The snow was deep, and the wind howled through the mountains, but I didn’t feel the cold. I walked for hours, until I reached the hermitage, hidden in a valley surrounded by

I stood on the fortress battlements, watching Kael kneel alone in the knee-deep snow below. He had been there for eight hours straight, ever since our procession had passed him by. His black cloak was crusted with ice."NOVA!" he screamed again, his voice raw and broken, barely audible over the howling wind. "YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME! YOU SAID YOU WOULD ALWAYS LOVE ME!"I could see the pack members lingering at the edge of the courtyard, watching him with a mix of pity and fear. They had never seen the proud, arrogant heir like this. Whispers spread through the crowd like wildfire."He's lost his mind," someone muttered. "The Goddess has cursed him for defying her will."My father and stepmother stood a short distance away, their faces heavy with disappointment. My father's jaw was tight, his fists clenched at his sides. Elara's eyes were red with tears, her hands trembling. They had tried everything to get him to come inside, but he had refused to move. Finally, my father let out a

I said nothing. I just stared at Kael, my eyes cold and empty. But inside, memories of the last life were flooding my mind, sharp and painful.I remembered the day Jax died. He had been ambushed by the Jackal Clans while on patrol. Kael had been the one to find him, lying in a pool of his own blood."Take care of Lila," Jax had whispered, gripping Kael's hand so tight his knuckles turned white. "Promise me you'll protect her. Promise me she'll always be safe.""I promise," Kael had said, his voice breaking.Jax had smiled, then closed his eyes and died. From that day on, Kael had dedicated himself to keeping his promise. He had given Lila a home in the fortress, protected her from anyone who tried to hurt her, and gave her everything she asked for. But Lila had not been content with just protection. She had wanted more. She had wanted Kael. She had wanted to be Luna. And she had seen me as her biggest obstacle.I remembered the vision I had had three days before Lila's death: a vi

Kael stood there, frozen in shock. He looked at the silver moonstone, then at Elias, then at me. His face twisted with rage."You did this!" he screamed, pointing at me. "You manipulated the Goddess! You cheated!""I did no such thing," I said. "The Goddess sees everything. She saw what you did to me. She saw the darkness in your heart. And she saw the goodness in Elias's."I turned back to the moonstone. "Goddess," I said, "we ask you one more thing. Show us the prophecy about Lila Songbird."The moonstone's silver light shifted. Images began to play across its surface, clear and vivid. The entire pack watched in silence as the truth was revealed. They saw Lila meeting with the assassins in the woods. They saw her paying them with gold, telling them to kill me. They saw the assassins sneaking into the fortress in the middle of the night. They saw them killing Lila. The hall fell silent. No one spoke. Everyone stared at the moonstone, their faces filled with shock and disgust.Kael
