Semua Bab Falling For My Best Friend's Brother: Bab 61 - Bab 70

Lauriel’s point of view“Do you think I deserve it? I mean… I kept flirting with him,” I ask Dawn, my voice cracking as I stare blankly at the red asphalt of the running tracks. She had tracked me down all the way out here, refusing to let me be alone after the humiliation in the lecture hall.“Of course not. She’s just a bitch,” Dawn says flatly, and despite the shame and sadness I’m feeling, a startled laugh slips past my lips at the harsh words she just used.I blink back the tears threatening to blur my vision, looking at her with guilt. “I’m so sorry she involved you in that. Sorry, she brought up Killian.”She settles onto the bleachers right beside me, wrapping a supportive arm around my shoulders. “Oh, I don’t mind, actually. It was starting to get a little boring with everyone on campus being scared of me after the video leak.”She laughs as if it’s funny. I know exactly what she’s doing—she’s desperately trying to lighten the mood so I don’t shatter into a million pieces. Bu

Elaine’s point of viewI hate her. I hate her so much.I stare at Dawn’s pretty face, and my blood literally boils beneath my skin. She has no idea what she’s destroyed, what she’s taken from me. She just walked in here with her innocent act and stole what was supposed to be mine.“Ellie,” Dawn says, her face going straight, her posture locking up as I step into her path.Beside her, that bitch of a friend, LJ, immediately steps forward to shield her. “For someone who’s a stripper, you sure have the fucking guts to try and—”“Don’t you fucking dare,” Dawn cuts her off, her voice dropping into a sharp, icy growl as she places a hand on Lauriel’s arm. Her eyes burn into mine. “You have something against me, Ellie? Fine. But do not go near my friend.”I let out a harsh, mocking laugh, taking a slow step toward them. “Oh, it’s actually so cute that you think you have a bite, stinky cunt.”The insult is barely out of my mouth before LJ loses her mind. She launches herself straight at me, h

Dawn’s Point of ViewThe bar is packed when we arrive, music thumping through the walls, bodies everywhere, the kind of post-game energy that has been building since the final buzzer and has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.Under my hoodie I had pulled on Killian’s jersey, but it is warmer outside the rink than I expected, so I took it off in the car, and now I am wearing it properly, his number across my back, his name above it, and I am trying very hard not to think too much about what that means. When we step through the entrance, our eyes roam around the crowded space. The atmosphere is loud and pulsating with heavy music. I can’t spot the guys anywhere. I pull out my phone to text him, but before I can type a word, Killian’s deep voice comes from right behind me.“Little Fox?”I whirl around. He is standing there, looking genuinely surprised, eyes moving over me as if he is making sure I am real.“You came,” he whispers, his voice carrying over the roaring bass of the s

Dawn's Point of View“You are mine, Dawn.” His voice is rough against my mouth, his hand coming up to cradle my jaw as if he’s afraid I’ll disappear if he lets go. “There’s no being done between us.”“Then I need you to start trusting me,” I whisper back, my lips brushing against his, and I swear I can feel shivers down my spine.“I’m sorry. I just hate—” he doesn’t finish the sentence when I crush my lips against his. When he briefly pulls away, his eyes burn with a hunger that sends a pooling in my stomach down to my core.“Tell me to stop, Dawn, because what I want right now…” He closes his eyes, swallowing hard as if it hurts.“Please,” he pleads, opening his eyes as he looks at me; his eyes have darkened with desire, and his lips tremble.“I want you too,” I whisper back to him. It’s like I have just unleashed something because Killian crushes his lips against me, pressing me into the car, his hand going up to my thigh, lifting me off the ground as he wraps it around his waist.K

Dawn’s Point of ViewOnce we get her into bed, I head down to the kitchen to clean up the rest of the mess and check whether she has any actual food in the house, but Killian catches me before I can start opening cabinets. He notices exactly what I’m doing: burying myself in tasks so I don’t have to feel anything.“Dawn,” he whispers.“I need to find something for her to eat,” I say to him, trying to keep myself busy, but he grabs my wrists. Then his other hand cups my chin so I can face him.Tears burn my eyes because I can’t look at him. I can’t let him see how much this hurts.Watching your mother lose a part of herself because she chose to love wholeheartedly.“Look at me, baby,” he whispers. The last word makes my heart race even more.“Please,” he pleads.I turn to face him, and tears stream down my cheeks. When I see him looking at me with that warmth in his eyes, I end up breaking down right there at the kitchen table, the dish towel still in my hand, tears coming so fast I ca
