Lisa “Still trying to hide, little wolf?” My body shook, my breath escaping me too quickly as his words sunk into me, a slickness forming between my thighs. “I’m not hiding, I just…” My words cut out as Rowan leaned closer, his lips hovering, just not touching my ear. “Just avoiding the inevitable. I know you feel it too, Lisa,” Rowan whispered before his lips pressed to the shell of my ear, lighting an unfamiliar fire inside of me like I had never felt before. A small whimper escaped me as Rowan pressed his body against mine, his massive member pressing against my stomach as his lips trailed down my neck and then back up towards my jaw, my cheek, and finally my lips. His lips pressed firmly to mine and my body lit up, reacting without caring about any of the things my mind knew, like how this bond was impossible from the start. Lisa Sydney’s face drained of color as her eyes bounced between the two of us. The fury that had burned so brightly in her expression cracked apart into pure shock. Her mouth opened and closed twice before any sound actually came out. “What?” she finally whispered. I wrapped my arms around myself, suddenly hyper aware of the state I was in. Lucille practically purred in my mind at the sight of him standing there so c

Lisa A tear slipped down my cheek. “I’m sorry, Lace. I know this makes everything harder for you. I told him it doesn’t matter how we feel or if there is a mate bond or not. This can never happen again.” Rowan’s face dropped, a growl slipping through his lips in frustration. “No, Lis. You do not need to worry about how this affects me. He is your mate and, as someone who tried, that’s not an easy bond to fight. I would never want you to and miss out on a love like Fin and I have. We will figure it out.” I hiccuped, trying to keep the sobs pressing against my throat from escaping. “How? You know the council would never allow it.” Lacey sighed. “I know the elders won’t like it, but a chunk of the council is in this room right now,” Lacey said, pointing between her, Sydney, and myself. “We will figure out a way to tell the elders. We just have to be smart about it, make them feel like it’s their idea, and i
