Sophie sat in her office, trying to focus on her job. It proved difficult, mostly because she didn’t have that many things left to do. Despite her effort to forget Adrian’s weird call, Sophie couldn’t really shake it off of her mind.Her finger hovered over her phone screen, the investigator’s contact ready on dial. Adrian woke up to find himself in a dimly lit room. His entire body felt hot. A weird medicinal smell rushed to his nose, and his head pounded once again. He tried to sit, but a hand held him and it pushed him back to bed again. He squinted, and through his blurry vision, made out a silhouette before him. Sophie was soon able to focus on her job, just in time for the second batch production to be completed.
