Kieran's POV Beau bounds through the door. The harsh wind whips around his thick strands of hair, his smile stretches from ear to ear, and his bold eyes sweep over the living until it landed on me. I’m settled on the couch, beneath a fuzzy blanket, trying to stay awake long enough to finish the assignment from class. “I have news,” he shouts at me from across the room. He takes a slow step through the doorway. I crane my neck to the side and raise a brow expectantly. Beau plops down on the couch and digs his cellphone from out of his pocket. His foot is bouncing so fast it's making me nervous. He reaches over and tousles my hair. “So what's the big news?” I ask, setting my book aside. Beau presses a few buttons on his phone before turning it around and shoving it in my face. A flier is displayed on the Screen. It's a musical, exhibition thingy and my eyes widened. “Tell me it is what I think it is,” I ask with excitement bubbling through my voice. Beau sighs and dramat

Kieran's POV All I can hear is the pound of blood rushing against my eardrums. What's going on? Is this a mistake? Am I dreaming? Yes! This must be a dream and any second now he'll pull away from me and I'll wake up with a hard and strained dick. My vampire's tongue pushes into my mouth. His tongue slides and pulls against mine, lightly fighting for dominance and I feel my toes curling in my sneakers. Without breaking our kiss, his hands moved along my back to place me back on my feet. My legs feel like jelly and I whine in protest. The aching stiffness in my joints is all the proof that I need to confirm that this is real. I steady myself against his shoulders, sliding my arms around his neck. Every inch of him is chiseled perfection. His hand moves against the side of my face. The touch is cool and formal but there's a softness to it this time that makes it feel more real. His index finger settles beneath my chin and he raises my head up to angle my face, deepening our

Kieran's POV So far, I don't know how many weeks have passed. Each day feels longer than the last. Sometimes, my mind plays tricks on me, baiting me as to what time it is and whether I should be sleeping or not. After a certain amount of times, Naman starts wishing me good morning and if it wasn't for this, I wouldn't know when a day spills unto another. I started counting the days after his good morning wishes started and so far, I'm up to ten days. Ten days. My hope dwindles and settles like dust around the floor of my heart. Weeks have slipped by and no one has tried to find me. Rebecca hasn't tried to and I don't even know if she's still alive. Beau and Caius have not tried either. What about Professor Evans and his friends? Are they still looking for me? The meals Naman feeds me are bigger now, so big that I can feel myself getting bigger and healthier. I've added more pounds of flesh to my slim stature. Despite the circumstances, I'm more fed than I was be

Kieran's POV “I was the first.” His words took too long to make sense in my head. Caius and I both stand in silence as I stare at him. The iota of guilt and hesitation that I saw in his expression seconds ago were gone. Now, he only looked at me like an impatient man, waiting for me to speak. I squint at him, the moments we spent together flashing through my mind in fast motion. The only real contact we've had were the little amount of kisses we shared and while they were spine-tingling moments of intimacy, none of them led to a feeding. How was he able to drink from me during those moments that I didn't know? I suck my bottom lip into my mouth and chew on it gingerly. It's dry and torn from the nervous habit that has been kicking in since these past few weeks. At least with Naman, I knew what I was dealing with. Naman was a horrible man from the past but Caius is just a mystery. I shake my head, glancing over at Axel’s body. It’s still slumped on the floor. The r

Kieran's POV The door closes behind Beau with a soft click. I hear Caius’ footsteps lightly trail the wooden floor of the bedroom. It was a deceiving sound, in comparison to his body weight. My heartbeat accelerates as I listen to every graceful movement with my eyes closed. He knows I'm not asleep because my quickening pulse is making sure of that. He paces back and forth the wide expanse of the bedroom. My mind wanders to where he has been all day. I take a deep and once again, Caius’ scent fills my nostrils. All Vampires have the same scent that is cool and minty but Caius smells more intoxicating. Or is it because we are connected that I'm always feeling like this? Maybe when a vampire changes, their pheromones from being mortal carry over, adding a hint of realness to them. Or perhaps my vampire's scent stands out to me simply because he has claimed my blood. I swallow hard, internally repeating the words a second time. My blood is now his. I am now his. And he is mine.
