“That's basically what I'm trying to say.” Simon answered. “Before the case is treated, your case has to be addressed.”“That's quite absurd.” Camila pointed out. “Why would the court do that?”“Yeah, I know they are meant to be different cases but the fact that it wasn't Miss Sarah that brought the case to them, they can make any adjustments.” Simon explained further.“I still don't get what you are trying to say.” Aston said, tapping his finger gently on the desk. “The court won't address my case in court next week?”Simon nodded his head for the time. “They are two different cases. After the case next week, either you or Miss Sarah has the right to bring the case to court again.”“But for the case next week, it will be strictly about Mrs. Winston and Miss Sarah.” Camila released the breath she didn't know she was holding. “We have a higher chance of winning.”“Yeah, we do since she was the one that assaulted you and all.” Simon stated, pushing the four documents towards her. “You

“The court will reject it. The plaintiff's emotions weren't in check when she attacked the defendant.”Camila released the breath she didn't know she was holding. This was the part that scared her the most and fortunately it had passed by.James contorted into a frown. “Objection my lord!” “Objection overruled.” The judge said without blinking. “Do you have any more questions, Mr. James?”“Why didn't you report the assault to the police?” James turned back to face Camila.“Was the police going to arrest the entire crowd?” Camila asked, raising a brow.James hesitated for a second before shifting his gaze towards the judge. “That would be all the question for now.” “Do you have any more questions?” The judge directed the question to Simon.Simon shook his head. “No, my honour.” The judge brought his gravel down with a loud noise. “The plaintiff can return to her seat now.”“Thank you, my honour.” Camila said with a slight nod.An officer opened the witness box for her and she steppe

“She sent another message?” Aston's voice rolled out the next second.“It's a spam message.” Camila replied, shoving the phone into her bag.Her hands were trembling so badly even though she tried to keep a calm expression.Aston suddenly placed his hands on hers. “You know you don't have to bear it all alone.” “I'm fine.” Camila said, pulling her hand out of his hand. She turned towards the window and placed her head on it, struggling to understand what Sarah meant by that test. The first thing that came into her mind was Miles' sudden memory loss. It was either fabricated or reality and the thought of it being a reality made her blood run cold.If he had memory loss, she might not be going to court against him anytime soon.“Camila, do you need my help?” Aston asked again.Camila ignored him completely, staring blankly at the passing cars. The car pulled up in front of Winston's villa and she stepped out, hurrying towards her room. She had a quick shower and changed into a very com

Camila paced slightly around the room, her gaze flickering towards Mason from time to time. His calm composure and nonchalant attitude wasn't fitting for a doctor in this kind of environment.Even though he claimed he just got transferred, there was something oddly, strange about him.The door suddenly opened and Aston walked in, his hands tucked neatly into each side of his pocket.Camila released the breath she didn't even realize she was holding and hurried towards him.He looked very composed and calm but when she got closer, she discovered he was breathing so heavily like he had rushed over here.“Are you okay?” He asked, searching her face.Camila nodded. “Did you rush over here?” “It's bad manners to barge into someone's office without knocking.” Mason said before Aston could reply.“Bad manners?” Aston repeated. He intertwined out fingers and began approaching Mason's desk with slow, deliberate steps. “Which type of manners allows you to talk rudely to a stranger?”“I was bei

Camila stared at the portrait blankly trying to understand why it had no face. The portraits were drawn halfway stopping at the woman's knee. She knew it was a woman from the long hair and feminine clothes.Odd enough, she found the clothes familiar. But no matter how she tried, she couldn't remember where she had seen it before. Her eyes shifted back to the blank face. The edges of it were already outlined but it was missing the major components that made up the face. She folded the portrait and walked back to the shelf. She wasn't tall enough to keep it on the shelf Aston had kept it the last time so she just kept it where she could. She was about to walk out of the study when the telephone on the desk suddenly rang. Her heart skipped a beat at the sharp sound. It wasn't until she realized it was the telephone that she released the breath she didn't know she was holding. She could have ignored the call but something in her thought it would be important. She dragged her feet towards
