Before Anais stepped into the room. Something told her that something wasn't right. Her wolf screamed at her to turn back, but her heart insisted that she keep on going. Her brain kept replaying similar scenes she had watched in movies. Something told her that this might be a trap, but Anais still thought. What if it isn't? The room was dark when she entered. Even for a wolf, it took a while for her eyes to adjust to the darkness. When it did, she saw a figure walk out of the darkness. Felix. He had a towel secured around his waist and a smirk on his face. Then the lights came on. A dim, red light that did nothing to improve the situation. Anais took a step; just then, the door slammed shut. She ran towards it and pulled the handle. She pulled and pulled. “Open the door now!” she yelled and banged on it, but… obviously her effort was bound to be futile. “There's no use, Anais. That door won't open until I'm done.” Felix suddenly spoke up. Anais pressed her back agains

Lucero stood there long after she had left him. He stared at the door. Even without asking many questions, he knew that something wasn't right. She avoided looking him in the eyes, avoided his questions. She had even smiled too quickly. And when he asked where she was going, she had given him an answer that sounded rehearsed. The supermarket? What could she possibly want to buy that had her so nervous, and not her usual shy type of nervousness? His wolf whined as soon as she got out the door. Lucero forced him down.“Forget it. If she needed my help, she would call for me,” he told himself. He thought that after last time, she wouldn't hesitate to call him again.Lucero dragged his feet to his study, he opened his laptop and began working. Not up to two minutes later. His typing slowed down. He looked up.“Maybe she had a work emergency and she didn't want to bother me with it.” he thought.Yes. Definitely.“She's a strong independent woman. If she needs my help, she would call.”

The lamp was slammed into his skull, and Felix felt his brain rattle. It took a second for the pain to register, at first it was numb. The force was so strong he thought his skull had cracked. He felt something skid down his head. He raised his hands to caress it. Then he brought it to his face.“Blood.”Felix hadn't seen his own blood since he was five. And at that time he had fallen off a tree and scraped his elbows. But now…now because of this girl, he was seeing his blood again. His wolf barked in his head. Revenge. He wanted revenge. He wanted to see her blood too. He wouldn't kill her just yet. He would make sure to enjoy every moment of torture and pain he would inflict on her. “Ohhhh… now you have done it,” he growled.Anais backed away. “Felix,” she called out. He started stalking her, like a predator cornering his prey. Anaïs stumbled backward. Felix advanced. His eyes glowed an unnatural red. His claws had fully emerged, and his fangs protruded from his mouth.Anaïs

“You are not going to believe whom I saw him with.” this stranger said. Lucero’s brother stopped his movement. The stranger now had his full attention. “Who?” “A woman.” the other man answered cheerfully. Lucero’s brother brought his phone away from his ears and stared at it. For several seconds, he didn’t move.“What?” he snapped, pulling out of the woman and pushing her off the bed. The woman stumbled, managing to catch herself after a few steps. Then she gathered her things in anger.“Where? When? How?” Lucero’s brother asked as he put on his clothes. The stranger began to give him details of what he had seen. The nightclub. The mysterious woman. He mentioned that the woman had been there for barely an hour and Lucero had come in only to leave after literally picking up the woman. Lucero had been there only minutes ago.His brother’s expression darkened.“You’re certain it was him? August you better not be lying.” The stranger had laughed. “I’d recognize your brother anywhere

Fiona asked people on the way to the private lodgings. The waiters, the cleaners, even regular guest that where standing around. But no one knew who Felix was or if there had even been a commotion. Fiona had her heart beating so fast and loud like a rattle drum when the seventh person shook his head when she asked about Felix. She rushed towards the receptionist, she had her head down and was typing on her computer. “Where is Felix?” she asked the woman. The woman jumped at the sudden sound of her voice. The receptionist looked at her, her eyes wide in surprise. She held her chest in fright. Fiona frowned at her reaction. Wolves don't get frightened easily. She narrowed her eyes at the woman. Long orange hair and black fox eyes.“You're a fox?” she asked in surprise. The woman crossed her arms over her chest and frowned.“Excuse me?”Fiona shook her head. It wasn't time for that. “Felix Sandler. He was staying here. Did he check out?” she asked quickly. The fox receptionist al
