All Chapters of The Wrong Brother's Bite: Chapter 11 - Chapter 20

Clay Jasperfang POVThe noise outside the ancient temple doors is deafening, a roaring wall of cheers and baying wolves that completely shatters the sacred silence of the sanctuary. My fingers tighten around my new bride's waist as we step past the heavy iron threshold, blinking against the bright moonlight flooding the Silvercrest Capital.“You handled that altar like a true warrior queen,” I lean down to mutter against her ear, letting my lips brush her skin just enough to feel her shiver. “Did you enjoy stealing the entire assembly's breath away?”Lamia exhales a long, shaky breath, her gaze darting across the sea of pack historians and scrying crystals flashing blue in the dark. “I was entirely terrified my knees would buckle and ruin your grand little theatrical entrance, Clay.”“It wasn't a play, little Luna,” I growle low in my chest, tightening my grip until our bodies lock together. “Every wolf out there now knows you belong to the Jasperfang bloodline.”A pack historian push

Clay Jasperfang POVMy brother strides into the breakfast room with the guilty posture of a schoolboy who just smashed a stained-glass window in the temple and returned to face the wrath of the Alpha. The only difference is that Rham also radiates the smug, thoroughly fucked-out aura of a wolf who has spent the last three days burying himself deep inside his mate.It is a bold move showing his face here. We are barely forty-eight hours past the wedding, and he has spent the interim pulling Christine Thornfield and her sisters out of some squalid council den in the Silver River District and installing them in our family’s manor.I know he hates leaving his new mate, but duty runs deep in our bloodline—with one massive, recent exception.Lamia and I are sitting at the table with Jasmine and Sylvia when Rham finally halts in the doorway, looking entirely too tense. I push myself up from my chair and close the distance, pulling him into a rough, masculine bro-hug.“Jesus, Rham,” I mutter

Lamia Blackmoor POVHis tongue laps against my nipple, and I squeeze my eyes shut against the sudden, exquisite jolt of heat racing straight to my core. Next thing I know, he is shoving the silk straps off my shoulders and dragging the nightwear down so my breasts are completely bared to his scorching gaze.He steps back for a fraction of a second, his dark eyes burning into my skin while I swallow hard around the sudden dryness in my throat.I try not to be insecure about my body, but growing up in the Blackmoor Moonfang Pack under critical eyes makes it hard to shake. I have a decent enough figure from training, but I always wish my curves were fuller, my waist more dramatic.More than anything else, I am vulnerability-conscious, standing completely bare before Clay Jasperfang with nowhere to hide. But when I look back up and catch the heavy, feral hunger in his hooded eyes, every trace of self-doubt melts into pure, liquid relief.“You are fucking perfect,” he growls softly, straig

Clay Jasperfang POVBeneath my hands, Lamia freezes, her entire body going rigid atop my chest."You do not want to?" I ask, my voice rough with a thick layer of unshed heat. Fuck. Maybe I misread her cues, but the sheer surge of my alpha instincts has drained every drop of blood from my brain. Her glossy dark hair falls in a curtain over her flushed face, and I pull a hand away from her bare backside to gently brush the strands behind her ear, thoroughly satisfied to see her hazel eyes still completely glazed over from that intense orgasm I just gave her.Take that, Adrian, you useless, surface-level prick."I want to," Lamia whispers, her breath hitching as she looks down at me. "I am just not sure about... taking the lead on top."A realization snaps in my fogged mind. I get it now. I assumed going flat on our backs was too primitive for our first real night as mates, and flipping her over to take her fiercely from behind—the exact way my wolf is screaming at me to claim her—might

Clay Jasperfang POVWhen we next return to the Sacred Moon Temple, my bride is wrapped in ceremonial black silk, and ancient mourning horns echo through the Silvercrest Capital.High Alpha Lord Aldric Jasperfang is given a royal sending-off, complete with traditional pack chants and solemn eulogies delivered by high-ranking elders of the Grand Wolf Assembly, before we process back to the Shadowclaw Citadel. We lay Pa to rest near the ancient stone altar on our pack grounds, exactly as he demanded. He refused a burial vault in the capital temple; he wanted his bones resting in the dirt that marked the heart of his territory.High Alpha Lucan Stormfang arrives with his elite guard to honor the loss. Members of the Silvermoon line travel all the way from the Frostfang Peaks, which shows real respect, and the leaders of the Blackmoor, Ashfang, and Moonfire bloodlines all stand in the circle too. If any Alpha finds the chaos of the Jasperfang succession distasteful or my sudden rise to pow
