Arnold “I think I heard someone,” Hilda said, pulling away slightly. I hissed. “There's no one there. You're imagining it.” I pulled her against me and bent her forward. Hilda was an old fire. Before I'd gone ahead to get married, we used to be sneaky links. Well, not that sneaky, almost everyone on the upper floors knew that we were seeing each other. “I missed you, Hilda,” I moaned. She scoffed. “Your wife took my office. I don't trust you, Arnold. Since you got married you've been distant.” I placed the last button. “Well, I'm here now.” I leaned forward and kissed her cheeks. “I literally run this place.
