I took a deep breath as people began applauding. I watched as she came into the light. The elegant widow Lady Rooke. Everyone thought of her as a benevolent and refined lady. Only her family knew who she really was.I wondered if she was the same way with her twins. I knew she and Cassian's relationship was strained. I had a pretty ordinary day planned ahead. I wasn't planning on going out today. It had become something I did every day now before I left the room.
