LEANNA’S POVI moved through my secret path in the woods, careful not to aggravate my shoulder any more. But the pain was getting relieved bit by bit. That I was thankful for.Even with my haste, I remained careful. The time I caught Lena and her grandfather wasn’t so long ago. And I wasn’t about to give up my spot.“Finally here,” I muttered, staring at the clearing where it all began. The seemingly ordinary place with a small lake now looked so ethereal in my eyes.Memories of how the moonlight shone on the area, bathing it in a silvery hue will forever remain embedded in my mind.“Let’s get this over with,” I muttered, standing in the area between the large boulder and the lake. The exact spot I came to the realization that I had just manifested my wolf. With Romeo’s life being in constant danger, my lack of strength was our biggest issue. As well as our way out. If I could manifest my wolf and show it to the village, the battle for Alpha will be nonexistent.I stood, legs spread

LEANNA’S POVI freshened up as quickly as I could, fully intent on getting that meeting over with as soon as possible.“Soon,” I muttered, as I stood in front of the full body mirror in my room, taking in my figure. My silver hair cascaded down my back, as a white crop top hung loosely above my belly button, coupled with black leather pants. My face was bare, as my blue irises always managed to steal the attention away from my other features anyway.“Let’s get this over with,” I muttered, stepping out of the bedroom and into the living room. I caught a glimpse of Romeo’s figure from the corner of my eye.He laid reclined on the couch next to an open window. His eyelids shut, with a book placed lazily on his chest.A small smile tugged at my lips as I figure he must’ve fallen asleep reading. A hint of determination flashed across my eyes as I made my way to the door, careful not to let the sound of my boots awaken him.I stepped out of the cabin and into the warm afternoon, taking one

LEANNA’S POVMy breath came out in large pants as I stopped in front of my cabin. My hand hovered over the door knob as memories of how our last conversation ended resurfaced in my mind.I stepped into the cabin with reddened eyes, making my way through the living room, only to pause in my steps as I found his figure wrapped in blankets on the couch.“Romeo,” I whispered, hoping he would turn to the sound of my voice, and give me that smile of his that always seemed to reach his eyes. But it was to no avail. The rise and fall of his chest was as rhythmic as it could be.“Romeo?” I called out once again, my voice breaking as tears already started rolling down my face. I resisted the urge to crumble down to my knees, grabbing whatever coat I could find as I stepped out of the cabin once more.My view was blurred by the tears. But that couldn’t stop me, as I let my legs take me to the one place I could find my way to, even by relying on instinct alone.I stumbled out of the bushes and in

LEANNA’S POVI watched his features slowly turn ashen, as his lips were pressed into a thin line before he let out, “Do you know the way out of here?” His voice trembled as a hint of despair creeped into his tone. My heart broke in two as I stared at him. It was my fault he was in danger.I was the one who just had to go through these deadly trials. And now, I managed to put both our lives in danger.“I do,” I lied. My gaze filled with as much conviction as I could muster. I wasn’t about to let him lose hope. I would get us out of her. Or at least die trying to save him.“Okay then,” he said, his chest heaving as he took my hand, letting me lead the way. I didn’t say anything as I pulled him along, careful to keep an eye out for any fresh paw prints.I gritted my teeth slightly as I hated how weak I was. My mind drifted towards a wolf that would dominate the woods like it was his domain.Alpha Stormfang would just go ahead and subdue every single wolf here. Bloodthirsty or not. And

LEANNA’S POV“Ugh, my head,” a soft groan escaped my lips as the sunlight that filtered through the canopy of trees pierced my eyes. My eyes were blurry as I surveyed my surroundings in a bid to remember what had happened. But it was to no avail. My back was propped up against a tree with no one else in sight. A soft hiss escaped my lips as I tried recalling what happened last night. “There were wolves, and blood, and…,” a sharp pain coursed through my body as my train of thought ended abruptly.A wave of fear coursed through my heart as I stared at the rustling bushes ahead of me. The terror I felt when the wolves attacked were still very fresh in my mind. Even if I couldn’t remember how I escaped.I grabbed the nearest branch close to me, struggling to take a fighting stance as I awaited my enemy. My breath got caught in my throat as a tall figure emerged. “It’s you!” I let out, unable to hide my surprise as I watched the ever arrogant alpha storm through.“I see you finally woke
