Lahat ng Kabanata ng Luna Aria's Awakening : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

_Aria's POV_I hated parties.Especially parties that reminded me of exactly where I stood in my own family.I tightened my grip on the silver tray in my hands and forced myself to keep walking through the crowded ballroom. Laughter echoed from every corner. Crystal chandeliers sparkled above everyone's heads. Expensive dresses swirled across the polished floor. The entire pack house was glowing with light. Tonight was supposed to be a celebration. At least for my sister but not for me.I stopped beside a group of guests and offered them drinks."Thank you, dear," one woman said.I gave her a small smile before moving away. My feet already hurt. I had been working since sunrise. While everyone else prepared for the party, I had spent the entire day cleaning, decorating, carrying furniture, arranging flowers and helping the kitchen staff. Not because I wanted to but because my mother had ordered me to. After all, tonight was a very important occasion. Tonight was Selene's birthday. My

_Aria's POV_"Mate."The word echoed through the ballroom. For a moment, I thought I had imagined it. My heart pounded wildly inside my chest as I stared at Kael Voronov. The future Alpha was still looking directly at me. Shock filled his face....real shock. As if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Neither could I.The entire ballroom seemed frozen. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Then suddenly Kael took another step forward."Kael?" Luna Evelyn called. He didn't answer. His eyes never left mine. A strange warmth spread through my body. My pulse raced so fast that I could barely breathe. Why was he looking at me like that? Why had he said that word? The crowd began whispering. "Did he just say mate?""I think he did.""Who is he looking at?"People turned their heads. Their eyes followed Kael's gaze. And then they found me. Hundreds of eyes landed on me at once. My stomach twisted. I wanted to disappear.Instead, I remained frozen where I stood. Kael suddenly crossed the ballroom. On

_Aria's POV_If there was nothing left for me in this pack, why was I still staying? The question refused to leave my mind. I sat on the edge of my bed, staring through the window as moonlight spilled across the forest beyond the pack borders. Downstairs, I could still hear faint music and laughter drifting through the house. The celebration was continuing. People were dancing, talking and enjoying themselves while my entire world had fallen apart.A bitter laugh escaped my lips.Nothing had really changed. The rejection hurt more than anything I had ever experienced but the truth was that my life had been miserable long before Kael Voronov walked into that ballroom. His rejection had simply forced me to face a truth that I had spent years avoiding.Nobody wanted me here.My parents didn't want me. Selene certainly didn't want me. Most of the pack only tolerated my existence because they had no choice. I had spent my entire life trying to earn their approval. I had worked harder than

_Aria's POV_I stood frozen at the entrance of the mansion. The enormous wooden doors were open and warm golden light spilled across the stone steps beneath my feet. For several seconds, I simply stared.Nothing about this place made sense. Who built a mansion in the middle of the forest? More importantly, who lived in one?I slowly turned toward Rowan. "You actually live here?"He glanced at the building behind him before looking back at me. "I keep getting asked that.""Because it doesn't make sense."A grin appeared on his face. "I'll take that as a compliment.""It wasn't.""That's unfortunate."I narrowed my eyes. He seemed far too amused by everything. Meanwhile, I was standing in front of what looked like a noble estate hidden in the wilderness. The situation felt ridiculous.Rowan stepped inside and gestured for me to follow. "Come on."I hesitated. Every instinct told me to be careful. I barely knew this man. Yes, he had saved my life. He had protected me from the rogues. But

_Selene's POV_The rest of my birthday party should have been perfect, yet I couldn't stop thinking about Aria. Not because I cared about her. Far from it. I was annoyed that even after being rejected, she had somehow managed to draw attention away from me. This was supposed to be my night, my birthday and my celebration. Yet, all anyone could talk about was the wolfless girl who had somehow turned out to be the future Alpha's mate.Even worse, Kael Voronov seemed completely distracted. I stood near one of the large windows with a glass of wine in my hand and watched him from across the ballroom. Guests surrounded him constantly. Young women laughed at his jokes, or at least tried to, while several daughters of important Alphas practically followed him around all evening. Normally, I would have been confident. I was beautiful, powerful and came from a respected family. I should have been exactly the kind of woman a future Alpha wanted. Yet every time I approached Kael, I felt as thou
