Axel's povGive her the necklace and leave. Give her the necklace and leave.I repeated those words over and over in my head as I looked at Winter across the room. Her scent was intoxicating and made my wolf Hunter stir.'Taste her again,' he pleaded. 'One more taste. One more.''We can't,' I groaned, my cock stiffening when her pretty eyes glared at me and stormed towards me to grasp the necklace from my hold. The second our fingers touched and I felt the sharp tingles, I knew I was done for. I know I should've left then because I was treading on dangerous waters but then my eyes caught the book on the floor and I decided to pick them up.The least I could do was help her clean up. It wasn't out of pity. Nor was it out of wanting her to forgive me for last night. I just wanted to help. But then being the clumsy girl that she was, she cut her finger on the sharp glass. I didn't know what came over me then, but all the control I had which had already been a little....snapped.Especiall

Winter's povThe music blares through the speakers as the bass vibrated through the floor beneath my feet. I didn't quite like working behind the bar at one of the most popular strip clubs in Boston but I had no choice. My stepdad liked to gamble and mom refused to leave him. It didn't help that he would rather spend money on alcohol than buy baby formula for Sophia. Every little cent I made went to Sophia.I sighed, trying to drown out the noise as I jot down some notes. Multitasking wasn't my strong suits but it had to be done, especially if I want to keep my scholarship.I groaned and crossed out a line that didn't make sense. I was having a hard time focusing and it wasn't because of the music blaring or the lights of every shade of blue and red painting across the paper. It was because of him. Axel Storme.Every time I reached for a bottle, I thought about him and every time I saw dark hair in the crowd, my stupid heart skipped a beat. It was kind of pathetic if you ask me becaus

Axel's povThe sharp scrape of skates against ice echoed throughout the rink as I shot the puck across the surface. It slammed against the boards and I growl under my breath."Someone's wolf is on edge," Ashton grumbled.I ignored him and skated after it as the cold air burned my lungs. Normally hockey helped me get out my frustrations and calmed me down but not tonight. Tonight it wasn't doing a damn thing.Because every time I closed my eyes, I saw Winter. Every single fucking second I think of her. Her smile, her scent hell even the way she glares at me.Crossing that line by fucking her sparked that bond and now it was becoming more difficult to stay away. The moon goddess was sick for giving me a mate I couldn't claim."Ayo Storme, pass it!" One of the guys on the team shouted to get my attention. It pulled me out of the thoughts of Winter for a split second. It was enough to pass him the puck."Your heads not in the game," Ashton said beside me. I glanced at him. He was skating

Winter povThe lights blinded me and I lifted my hand up to shield my eyes from their cruelty but then stumble back when the crowd started to applause and whistle. My stomach churn.Every instinct in my body urged me to run, to hide but one glance at Masha and I swallowed. Jane was beside her with her phone up and both of them were smirking. Were they taking out photos of me? Or a video?I tear myself eye away and looked at the crowd below. Rows of faces blurred together beneath the flashing lights. So many men came forward, excitement in their faces.I hugged my arms around myself instinctively and Masha snarls. "Don't let me come out there to force you myself! Drop your hands!"I knew she meant every word so I quickly dropped my hands, swallowing as I hear hoots and cheers. I feel completely sick to my stomach. The humiliation burned hotter than the stage lights.Timothy voice echoed over the speakers."Looks like someone's a little shy tonight. Let's give our newest girl a warm welc

Winter's povThe entire room went completely still and even Michael stopped struggling. Ashton's eyes held no humor whatsoever. "My brother is already one bad decision away from tearing this place apart."His gaze flicked toward Axel, who was still carrying me but had stopped when he heard his brother had warned Michael. He must be waiting to see if Michael would be bold enough to fight off Ashton. Axel was protective of his brother and I knew he would tear this place apart if Michael dared fight his brother. "Don't give him another reason." Ashton uttered in a warning tone that made Michael visibly gulp. Ashton released him with a shove and Michael stumbled backward, rubbing his throat without saying another word. Seeing that no one would dare fight him and Ashton, Axel started for the exit. "Axel!" I hit his back again. "Would you put me down already?"But he doesn't even respond, just growls low in throat. I stiffened when I sensed that it was his wolf and not really him. The
