Winter's povThe words had barely left my mouth when the low growl vibrating through Axel's chest faded. He relaxed instantly and his eyes softened but he didn't say a word. Just holds me tighter.I can't help it; I leaned against him, resting my head on his chest. His heart rammed hard beneath my ear.I can't believe that I am in his arms right now. The guy who always pushed me away now holds me against him like he feared that if he let go, I would disappear. I don't know what to make of it, but right now...right now, I was too exhausted to question it.The events of the night finally caught up to me all at once, making me slightly exhausted to think too much into Axel and me. My focus was on my ruined lecture notes, losing my job and being forced into that dressing room and onto the stage. The tears I'd refused to shed began burning my eyes again. I squeezed them shut, refusing to cry. I swallowed the lump in my throat and focused on the beat of Axel's heart instead, which had calme

Winter's povMy eyes widened as Axel continued burying his face against my neck, taking slow, deep breaths like he was trying to memorize my scent."W-What..." I stammered before looking helplessly at Ashton. "Ashton, what the hell has gotten into your brother?" My voice came out a mixture of confusion and complete shock.Another low rumble vibrated through Axel's chest before it shifted into something softer. A purr. The sound sent an unexpected shiver racing through me.I knew some about werewolves but not everything was disclosed to those who weren't their kind. There are things I don't know about. Things like now.....Ashton visibly winced and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I..." He cleared his throat. "I can't really explain it right now."My brows furrowed, confusion swimming deep."But don't be scared of him," Ashton said quickly, as if sensing riding panic. "He's not going to hurt you."I looked down at Axel, who still hadn't moved away from my neck."He's just..." As

Axel's povAshton's hands wrapped around my wrists, not to pry them away but to keep me from tightening my grip any further."Because," he said calmly despite the dangerous growl rumbling in my chest. " She needed somewhere to shower.""She should've showered in my room!"Another growl tore from my throat, louder this time. "My room." My wolf clawed dangerously beneath my skin.Ashton's jaw flexed. " You're already losing control not even a minute after we spoke about it," He glanced down at my hands still wrapped around his throat before lifting his eyes back to mine. " Are you sure you'll be able to get your beast under control?" he asked the question sarcastically.I clenched my teeth so hard my jaw ached. My wolf snarled furiously in my head, demanding I ignore every damn word coming out of Ashton's mouth and march straight to Winter. But I knew that would be the last thing she wants right now.I forced my fingers to uncurl from his throat and turned around while asking over my sho

Winter's povThe moment his soft lips pressed against mine, it made me lose all the thoughts I had. I sucked in a sharp breath and melted into him despite being angry at him just mere seconds ago.But I'm starting to realize that Axel had a way of making me not hate him fully and I knew that this could be a good thing or a very bad thing. He groaned against my mouth, the sound vibrating through me and sending a strange warmth rushing throughout my entire body. My fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt before my mind could catch up with what I was doing.I should push him away. I should remind him that I was still angry. That I still didn't trust him. That he was the reason I had been dragged into Masha's mess in the first place. But the moment his hand tightened gently around my waist, pulling me closer without forcing me, every angry thought became harder to hold onto.Because this wasn't the Axel I knew. The Axel I knew was cold to me and very distant. The guy who looked at me l

Axel's povThe second she shattered around me, her warmth of her juices and her walls wrapping around me. Her body trembled from her orgasm but the second my eyes fall to the curve of her shoulder I try to force myself to breathe. My wolf was no longer restless. He was hungry.'Mine!' Hunter growled in my head. His growl was so vicious and loud that my vision blurred for a second.I squeezed my eyes shut and ripped away from her like she had just burnt me. The temptation to mark her and claim her was growing stronger.Hunter ignored me of course. He wanted to mark her, he craved her so strongly. He wanted to bind her to us.My canines throbbed painfully and pressed against my lower lip until it draws blood.'Control yourself,' I growled at Hunter, as I gripped my hair and growl out loud. I didn't want to scare her. The last thing I want is to scare her.I peeled my eyes open, my vision turning red slightly. As if sensing my inward battle, Winter whispers my name. Fuck and the sound al
