ARIANA'S POVI didn't stop running until I was out on the streets. The evening breeze blew steadily against my face, a perfect contrast to the chaos inside my head.I hailed a cab and got in without a destination in mind.“Where are you going, ma'am?” the middle-aged driver asked, glancing at me through the rearview mirror.“Just drive,” I murmured. He nodded and pulled away from the curb. I quickly pulled out a handkerchief from my handbag and wiped my face.So the reason he texted me to come over was because he wanted me to see it for myself. He was tired of pretending.I was just a toy to him. The moments we shared were all fake.Fuck.My chest ached. And Tania? She was definitely not his cousin.Scott was really a jerk. He lied to me. He betrayed me. He used me. And now he had dumped me like I meant nothing. The tears came again no matter how hard I tried to stop them.I turned toward the window, keeping my face away from the driver as I stared at the city lights rushing past.Fun

ARIANA'S POV*Ring*Ring*Ring“Shit.” I groaned and hit the alarm, turning it off before it could ring again. I almost went back to sleep again but my brain suddenly reminded me that today was Monday.Fuck school.Reluctantly, I tried to roll off the bed but a splitting headache suddenly hit me as I winced slightly. My head felt like it was being smashed with a hammer. I wriggled out of bed, holding my head tightly. Just as I passed by the mirror, my eyes caught my reflection. I paused, my brain scrambling to piece together last night's events.First, the breakup–Scott’s betrayal and his hurtful words. Second—Wait, second?I went to a club, had a few drinks, tried leaving and…Oh my God.I mistook a hot man with sexy blue eyes for a wall. I slapped my head as heat rushed up my cheeks in embarrassment.Gosh, what was I thinking? He offered to take me home when he saw how drunk I was, but…A loud gasp escaped my lips as I mouthpalmed still staring at my reflection in the mirror.

ARIANA'S POVI headed to my next class. The class was already filled up but luckily, Maya had reserved a seat for me. “Thank you.” I threw her a soft smile and took my seat. She placed her two hands on her jaw and leaned against the table. “So…” She began, narrowing her gaze slightly. “Why did he call you to his office?” My chest tightened. He had called me to his office just to draw a line between us. Whatever happened last night was never supposed to happen again.Obviously, I couldn't tell Maya that, so I came up with a lie.“He needed the class list.” I said, without thinking. Maya smirked. “Nice try.” She rolled a strand of hair between her fingers before tilting her head.“You're not the class representative, Ria. So why would he ask you for the class list?”I gulped.Damn.I was really terrible at lying. She leaned closer, narrowing her eyes suspiciously. “I still have that strong feeling that you two know each other.” She paused, as she suddenly raised her brows like she jus

THIAGO'S POVOf all the things I expected when I walked into my classroom that morning, Ariana Castillo sitting in the third row wasn't one of them. For a second, I genuinely thought I was imagining it.Ariana Castillo.I knew her name because I'd seen it the night before. She'd been sleepingly struggling to find her keys when her wallet slipped from her hands. Her student ID had fallen onto the ground before I could stop it.I'd picked it up for her.Ariana Castillo. At the time, it had just been a name for a stranger. Now it belonged to the girl sitting in my classroom. The same girl in that tiny little red dress from the club. The same girl I'd driven home the night before. The same girl who had climbed onto my lap and nearly destroyed what little self-control I had left. And now she was my student.I should have put distance between us the moment I walked into the classroom and saw her.Instead, I was here wondering why that suddenly felt impossible. The smart thing would have b

ARIANA'S POVDamn it.I had literally just escaped for nothing. I was still going to have to return his shirt. Which meant I was still going to have to face him. Gosh… I'm so stupid! Hold on…My soaked shirt I removed last night was still… at his place too.Fuck!!!My knees buckled as I crashed onto the bed. “How was I going to face him now?” I whined, throwing my legs and hands in the air.He probably thinks I'm weak or pathetic. I still had no idea of how he felt when I came on his thighs. What if he found that disgusting? My stupid cheeks chose that moment to burn. Oh God.But seriously, what if he found it disgusting? What if he dumped that trouser because of it? Then, a thought suddenly slipped in as I shot upright sharply. My gaze narrowed at nothing in particular. What if he had a girlfriend? Or even a fiancee? My chest tightened. What if that was the main reason he didn't give in to my demand last night? What if that was the main reason he drew a line between us? Ohh s
