Adrian had forgotten his coffee at Evelina's café and she had come all the way to his office to deliver it to him. She arrived just in time to overhear the entire conversation, and suddenly everything made sense. “You don’t have to look at the house like that the entire day. Come in, it’s getting dark,” Adrian told Evelina, who was still amazed by how large and beautiful the island mansion looked. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she realized Adrian had already begun walking toward the entrance of the house, so she quickly followed, holding her son’s hand in hers.As soon as they entered the house, Evelina froze because standing in front of her were twelve staff members made up of chefs, housekeepers, drivers and maids. They were all dressed in uniforms, with smiles on their faces and their hands folded in front of them as they waited for her.Just then, Adrian turned to face her lazily, as though he was not in the mood to give any introductions. However, he knew he needed to do so because it was necessary.“Evelina, my lovely wife, these here are all your employees and over the next seven days, you will get to know them,” Adrian said before turning his attention back to his employees.

The next dayEvelina had waited for Adrian to return to the room that night, but he never did. Eventually, she had fallen asleep and the moment she woke up, she found that he was still not in the room. Instead of looking for him, Evelina walked all the way to the dining room, where she could already smell the breakfast being prepared for them.Noah was already seated, waiting for his meal.
