I never thought something like this would happen to us.Those words kept circling round and round in my head. Sometimes they were different, only slightly, like I never thought this would happen to me or I never thought this would happen to my Mum or Zach.I was in shock, Doctor I-forgot-his-name said. Which would explain why I felt so numb.I had only been awake for about a hour now. Apparently I'd woken up quite quickly after reaching the hospital. My injuries weren't bad. A cut on my forehead, bruising from the seat belt and a swollen knee. Or something like that. I honestly couldn't take in half the things he said. I thought he mentioned I pulled something in my shoulder too. Or was it my neck?I didn't know. They didn't hurt anymore either way. The pain relief they gave me fixed that.I still couldn't find it in me to believe that this happened. One second, we were on our way home. The next, we were in hospital and my Mother was half dead and Zach had yet to wake up."This is my

True to his word, Julian stopped by as soon as the hospital allowed it. He brought me more flowers, white lilies this time, and he just about managed to place them in the vase a nurse provided me, where the roses from yesterday also rested."They're beautiful." I managed a smile, mumbling shyly into my arm which rested across my knees. Like yesterday, I had them pulled up to chest."You're beautiful," was his automatic response, a lop sided smile on his full lips. God, he really was handsome. And so sweet. My belly fluttered. "How are you feeling today?" He asked while sitting down on the chair beside my bed.As I watched him, I realised that he'd been the only person to visit me. To sit in that chair. It was pretty damn sad. I know I didn't have a lot of friends because I only really feel comfortable with a small handful of people but I didn't realise it was this bad.I knew for sure that my Mum and Zach would have come if they'd been able to. The thought makes my heart ache. I could

Before we left the hospital, Julian helped me sneak into both my mothers and Zach's room so I could say goodbye. Neither of them had yet to wake up but Zach looked much better than my mother did. Poor Zach had two broken legs and a bandage around his head. It hurt to see him - them - in such a state but I tried to have hope.Despite me being completely fine dining on pizza, Julian stopped off at the local supermarket and made me pick out my favourite meals. I went along with it, telling myself that it's fine because I'd pay him back. So I grabbed a bunch of frozen food, a toothbrush, and other necessary items. When we'd finished and returned to Julian's black range rover, he held my hand as I climbed into it. I didn't really need the help, even if I was short, but I appreciated the gentlemanly gesture. The ride to his flat was mostly silent but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. I think we were both lost in our own thoughts. I know I certainly was. I couldn't help but wonder what thi

His lips brushed against mine in the softest of touches. It was enough to make my breath catch and heart stutter. The whole world seemed to fall away and I placed three fingers against his cheek as my lips parted before connecting with his ones again, and again. One of his hands fell onto my lower back and pulled me closer to him. I inhaled noisily through my nose, taking in his scent while his hand slid up my spine, then neck, and into my hair. The next time my lips part, a tongue stroked mine.I did a kind of half-moan, half-inhale and pushed myself closer to him like my life depends on it. My right hand fisted his hair while my left cupped his face to bring him as close as possible. He sensed my eagerness and nudged me down slowly until my back hit the cushions of his sofa.Lips and tongue danced slowly with heavy breathed and desperate noises while our bodies shifted, my legs falling open so they cradled his hips. I whimpered loudly without a care in the world when I felt a budge

She's like an aunt to me and made me thankful | wasn't having to plan it on my own. While Julian did what he could, he didn't know my mother like Andrea did.Speaking of Andrea, when I saw her yesterday she brought up the subject of my mother's phone sex business. I'd considered her question before shrugging and putting it to the back of my mind. I wasn't the type of person who could make decisions without other peoples advice and with Zach loopy and still in hospital, there was only one other person I trusted to offer their input."Hey," I nudged Julian, placing my chin against his chest so I could look up at his handsome face. "Can I talk to you about something?"He glanced down at me and gave me a small nod. "Sure." Reaching towards the coffee table, he picked up the remote control and muted the TV. "What's up?" He questioned once he'd settled back against the sofa, his body pulled away from mine slightly so he could make eye contact. He looked both concerned and curious."Yesterda
