Alle Kapitel von HE CHEATED, I MATED WITH HIS UNCLE : Kapitel 81 – Kapitel 90

DARIUS:When Zara told me last night that Rider was pestering her with incessant calls, I didn't need a psychic to figure out what his true game was.Rider didn't want Zara back because he had suddenly developed a genuine change of heart or realized her worth. He wanted her back for one pathetic, calculated reason: the Supreme Council's new decree. Just recently, the Council had passed a strict mandate stating that all upcoming Alpha candidates must publicly claim and mark their true, goddess-given mates as a supreme test of loyalty to the Goddess—otherwise, they would be permanently disqualified from taking the Alpha crown. If Rider managed to trick or bully Zara into coming back to him, he would use her simply to secure his coronation, and the moment he got what he wanted, he would undoubtedly discard her like absolute trash. So finding out that he had actually stooped low enough to stalk Zara all the way to my corporate headquarters this morning didn't surprise me in the slightes

ZARA:Part of me was intensely relieved that Rider had finally backed off and given me a momentary break from his relentless harassment. But deep down, a cold knot of anxiety still twisted tightly in my stomach. I couldn't easily shake off his final, chilling threat—the one where he swore he wouldn't stay alive to watch me marry Darius. I had recorded that conversation, every word of threats that Rider had uttered, and I was going to play it for Darius. As my heart hammered in my chest out of fear of being a target, I reminded myself who Darius Stormfang actually was. He wasn't some weak, helpless pushover to be trifled with. As the Supreme President of the Council, Darius was more than powerful enough to protect both of us. I decided I would simply wait until after work to fill him in on Rider's unhinged threats; I didn't want to drag our messy personal drama out into his corporate office during business hours. For the next half an hour, I forced myself to dive back into my work,

Stepping off the private executive elevator the very next morning, I made my way down the polished hallway toward the newly assigned suite for the head of the design department. But before my hand even touched the brass knob, my eyes caught sight of a massive, ostentatious bouquet of crimson roses resting right on my doorstep. A small, elegant envelope was neatly tucked into the center of the arrangement, addressed to me in a familiar, sweeping script.I glared down at it with sheer annoyance, picked up the card, and flipped it open. Inside, glaring back at me, was Rider’s unmistakable handwriting: I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU.The name of the sender wasn't there but I knew this certainly came from Rider.I let out a sharp hiss of disgust, crumpled the card into a tight ball, and tossed the entire bouquet of flowers straight into the hallway trash bin without a second thought. It was entirely laughable. Rider never once bought me flowers once Serena abandoned her marriage and came back t

ZARA:We had all been so completely consumed by the volatile argument that none of us had heard Darius's security convoy pull into the private estate.Hearing her father's voice, Luna was the first to react. She scrambled up from the Persian rug where we had been drawing earlier, sprinting across the marble floor to latch onto her father's hand. Looking up at Darius with a furious pout, she pointed a finger straight at Rider and Beatrice."Daddy, Rider brought Grandma here just to hurl horrible accusations at Zara!" Luna complained loudly, her voice trembling with indignation. "Rider claimed Zara is his mate, and now Grandma is accusing Zara of being some gold-digger dating both an uncle and his nephew at the same time!"Rider offered a nervous, twitchy chuckle, trying to smooth things over. "Oh, come on, sweetie, it's not actually an accusation. I was only just explaining the situation to Grandma that Zara and I—""What the hell are you even doing here, Rider?" Darius cut him off sha

ZARA:Darius stood tall, sweeping his dark gaze slowly from his trembling mother over to the pathetic, petrified wreck of his nephew."Well," Darius said smoothly, his voice echoing off the marble pillars of the foyer, "you can see for yourself with your own eyes that Zara is certainly not wolfless. Mother, do not let Rider drag you down into this mess with him. He was the one who stupidly threw away three years of a dedicated relationship just to chase after a woman who cowardly abandoned her own marriage. Besides, even if I were to step aside and call off my wedding so that Rider could supposedly have her back, I can assure you right now: Rider would drop her the exact second he secured the Alpha title and got officially crowned."Rider flinched, stepping forward frantically. "That is not true! I swear with my own life, I will cherish her and worship her for the rest of my life if she just comes back to me!"Standing in my human form once again after shifting back, I turned to face
