All Chapters of Breath Without Me: Chapter 21 - Chapter 30

Tristan's POV I never knew feeling the weight of someone's body against me could feel so good. Especially since the only weight I've ever felt above me was terrifying and painful. The weight of Walker's body pressing me into the mattress is a feeling I didn't know I needed, and his lips were everything I knew I did.He kisses me like a starved beast, unable to get enough. There is nothing soft and delicate about it. It's hard, rough, he took what he wanted, and I surrendered to it, allowing him to kiss me senseless and breathless, and I loved every moment of it.His kiss is everything I never thought I'd have the pleasure of experiencing. I dreamed of his lips more times than I can count. The taste of his kiss was something I thought I'd never experience except in my dreams. Yet here he is, kissing me like he's wanted this just as bad as I have, and I can't express how that makes me feel. Words can't describe it. His hands roamed my body with urgency, need, and desperation—the same n

Walker's POV I sigh in content as I lie with my boy wrapped in my arms. Feeling his arms wrapped so tightly around my neck feels so good. The way he buries his face in my neck feels so right. Everything about him feels right. He fits perfectly in my arms. His hand fits perfectly in mine. His body molds against mine so perfectly, it's like the boy was made for me. That thought caused my heart to flutter. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that could be true? I thought, breathing out as I wrapped my arms tighter around him.My head dips to the boy's neck, and I nuzzle my nose against his skin, taking a deep breath in through my nose. His scent is so intoxicating. I can't get enough of it. I nuzzle his neck more, and Tristan begins to squirm and giggle. My lips curl up knowing it's my beard that's tickling him. I devise my evil plan, and my lips curl up further. I playfully growl as I nuzzle his neck more vigorously, rubbing my beard against his skin. The boy falls into a fit of laughter, and

Tristan's POV I shove a bite of omelette into my mouth and pick up a piece of bacon. I swallowed the omelette before aggressively shoving the bacon in my mouth at the thought of that monster. I turned my head to the right, peered down into Walker's lap, and shivered. How is he hiding that thing in there? I wondered, staring at the bulge of fabric between his legs, and wondering if that was it, or if it's hanging down against one of his legs. Judging by how small the lump is, there's no way that could be it. It has to be down one of those pants legs. But which one? I narrowed my eyes and moved my head closer, trying to figure out which side was hiding the monster. “The damn thing is so big it needs its own area code!” I thought to myself.Or so I thought. My head snapped up when the table erupted into laughter. I looked around, thoroughly confused, until it dawned on me. My face was on fire as I slowly turned to look at Walker. “Did I... Did I say something out loud?” I hesitantl

Tristan's POV I never made it to the door. Walker is in front of me in an instant, and his massive hands hold my face before I can take another step.I hate the lump in my throat and the tears threatening to flow from my eyes. Walker cut his eyes over my shoulder, throwing one last look at Renee. He pulled in a deep, steadying breath, held it for a moment, and then focused entirely on me as he let it go.My eyes involuntarily tried to move back toward Renee, but his palms firmed on my jaw, gently guiding my gaze right back to his face.“I'm sorry, sweetheart,” Walker said softly, his voice thick with emotion. “I know what that must have looked like to you, but it's not what you think. Things have been completely over between Renee and me for years.” He searched my face, his eyes scanning mine as if desperately looking for reassurance that I was okay. His thumbs tenderly caressed my cheek. I tried to wrap my mind around his words, but it didn't add up. If it had been years since the

Tristan's POVTrue to his word, Walker got me an appointment the very next day. And if that wasn't impressive enough, he somehow managed to get them to run every damn test possible on me. I felt like a test subject as they poked and prodded my body. I thought I'd be able to leave once they finished taking their samples, but the doctor had other plans. He wanted me to wait while their lab processed the samples in case he needed more.Thankfully, this room had a bed, and the doctor was kind enough to give me a surprisingly comfortable pillow and warm blankets. But unfortunately, it feels like I have just closed my eyes when he woke me up. I squint at the bright light stinging my eyes.“Did you get a good nap?” Dr. Wilson asked.“Yeah. I guess so,” I replied, rubbing my eyes.“Okay. I'm going to get down to business since you've been here for quite a while.” Dr. Wilson says as he sits on the stool in front of me, looking over his clipboard.“There are several concerns with your test resu
