ISRAEL'S POV The night felt too long. Darian had curled up after our argument. I wasn't interested in speaking to him. This silence is better. After few struggles to fall asleep, I finally did. I woke up a few minutes past six to pains throbbing behind my temples. I must have drank too much last night. I could hear Anna's footsteps in the house. She must have seen the mess I made.
