Ivy’s POV I have a fretful sleep full of all of the worse things that might happen. I wake up exhausted. Luckily there is no bad news waiting for me. No good news either but I try to count my blessings. How I would love for General Warrick and General Lillith to find Tiffany and Dylan and their traitorous general and deal with them once and for all. For all of this to be over. But so far, today we are not there yet.I check my calendar and forget that I said that Thomas could come over and spend time with the children this morning. Though we are apart, the children still love their “Daddy” and they should have time with him.I check the time and see it’s already past the time he was meant to come. Ivy’s POV Kern and Nicole bring Theodore’s body inside. He is lifeless and I fear it is already too late.“Nicole is he dead?” I ask going to Theodore’s side when they set him on the bed. I can’t see if he’s breathing or not.“No but this is bad,” Nicole says. “He needs to get to a hospital. His lung and stomach are slashed open, he needs surgery or he’ll die.”“We can’t leave this house,” Kern says. “Though the house is secure now, we don’t know about outside. It would be very dangerous.”“Then I guess we’ll just wait for him to die,” Nicole says. Ivy’s POV I go straight to Theodore’s room when I arrive back at Dawson’s. It’s past midnight. I find a nurse there.“Has he been awake yet?” I ask looking at the many machines Theodore is connected to.“Not yet,” the nurse says.“I can watch over him for a while,” I say. “I’ll call you if I need you or if anything changes.”“Okay, I’ll be just around the corner in the sitting room if you need anything, Princess.”When she’s gone, I sit in the chair close to the bed.
