(ELARA'S POV) The ceremony had come to an end, but the celebrations were only beginning. The pack moved from the village square into the hall, where tables had been arranged beneath lanterns, decorated with flowers, candles, and ribbons. Music filled the room as families settled around the tables. Plates of roasted meat, bread, fruit, and spiced vegetables were passed from one end of the hall to the other. For a small pack, Trueblood had made the occasion feel enormous. A few neighboring Alphas and their Lunas had also come. Not many— Trueblood was too small to attract a large gathering, and Ronan had invited only the packs closest to them. Still, their presence gave the celebration a significance I hadn't expected.
