All Chapters of Melting His Icy Heart: Chapter 11 - Chapter 19

Sam lay sprawled across the bed, his eyes tightly shut, but his mind was far from restful. The silence of the room only amplified the noise in his head. What am I doing? he questioned himself, his fingers digging into the silk sheets. Am I really going to let my own pride and a misunderstanding about Lucas keep me locked in this room? He felt like a prisoner of his own making. After several minutes of agonizing thought, the restlessness became too much to bear. He needed to see. He needed to know.He stood up and walked back out onto the balcony, his bare chest meeting the warm afternoon air once more. He looked down at the lawn, but his breath caught for a different reason this time. The set was strangely quiet. Selena, Lucas, and Vivian were nowhere to be seen. The spot where they had been standing was empty.A flash of anxiety shot through him. Where are they? Where did he take her? He stood there, gripped by suspense, his eyes scan

On the other side of the city, Sam arrived at his villa. The grand house was silent, but his mind was louder than the club had been. The late hour didn't bring him any sleep; instead, it brought a mental highlight reel of the entire day.He moved through his darkened bedroom, tossing his keys onto the dresser. He couldn't stop replaying the images: first, Selena's transformation on the set—the way she had commanded the camera and looked like a literal goddess in that silk dress. Then, the party. The way that black mini skirt had highlighted her legs and the way she had looked at him while they danced. He sat on the edge of his bed, staring at his hands—the same hands that had been wrapped around her waist only an hour ago.Should I just tell her? he wondered, his brow furrowing. Should I tell her everything that's happening to me whenever she's in the room?He paused, a dry chuckle escaping his lips as he imagined the scene.

Inside the executive office, the silence became nearly oppressive. Selena could hear her own heart pounding frantically, and the way Sam's eyes fixed themselves on her weakened her knees. She broke the spell because she couldn't bear the intense attention any longer. In a scarcely audible whisper, she pleaded, "Sir... should I also leave?"The distant protagonist's masks slid into place again, while Sam's face hardened slightly. "Okay Selena. You are free to leave now.Selena pivoted sharply and exited the private office. The moment the heavy wooden door clicked shut behind her, she released a long, shaky breath that she hadn't even realized she was holding. Leaning heavily against her own desk, she pressed a palm against her chest, trying to steady her frantically racing pulse. What is going on in Sam's head? she thought, her mind spinning with sheer frustration. Why do

Looking at Selena, Sam forgot how to breathe.Time slowed down to an absolute crawl as she walked up the red carpet, her hand resting gracefully in Lucas's arm. She was radiating pure, unadulterated happiness, her smile bright enough to eclipse the flashing media cameras. Lucas looked just as thrilled, matching her energy flawlessly as they stopped to pose for the paparazzi.Up at the entrance, Vivian nudged Sam with her elbow, a triumphant smirk on her face. "See? I told you she'd come. And look at her... our Queen looks absolutely breathtaking. Am I right, Sam?"Sam didn't answer. He couldn't. He was entirely lost in Selena, his surroundings blurring into white noise. He didn't hear the reporters, he didn't see the crowd—his entire universe had shrunk down to the woman in the sea green and black gown.Frustrated by his silence, Vivian snapped her fingers right in front of his eyes. "Hey, Sam! Earth to Sam! Where did you get lost?"Sam snapp

The quiet morning unfolded like a slow breath, casting soft beams of pale sunlight through the dust-moted window blinds. Silence hung over the apartment, completely detached from the intense drama that had unfolded just hours prior.Erica emerged first, shuffling down the hallway with a heavy yawn as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Right behind her came Rose, carefully sipping from a steaming mug of black coffee. Both girls abruptly stopped in their tracks, their eyes going wide at the scene in the living room.Sprawled awkwardly across the velvet couch in total disarray was Selena. She remained wrapped in her striking emerald and black silk gown, the luxurious fabric tangled messy around her legs. Her once immaculate bun now resembled a crumpled bird's nest, and smudged eyeliner from the previous night stained her lower lashes. Breathing softly in a deep slumber, one of her arms hung limply toward the floor.Setting her coffee down on the counter, Rose tiptoed over and gently shoo
