All Chapters of Ghost In The Pack: Chapter 21 - Chapter 30

Elena’s POV It had been a week since the attack. One long, exhausting week of Allan refusing to let me forget that I had technically forged documents to marry him. I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my jacket from the back of the chair. Please. That man would never willingly get married. Someone would have to drug him, trick him, or drag him to the altar kicking and screaming before he’d ever say “I do.” Knowing Allan, he’d probably ask for proof the marriage certificate wasn’t fake before signing it. “Come on!” Lyra shouted from the living room. “Will you hurry up already? I’m getting cabin fever in here. One more day stuck in this place and I’m going to lose my damn mind.” I laughed as I pulled my black ball cap over my head, making sure it covered the side where the wound had been. The bandages were finally gone, and my head had healed completely. There wasn’t the faintest scar left behind, which meant sooner or later people were going to start asking questions. I wasn’t ready to e

Draven’s POV The second I saw Elena through the two-way glass, my body reacted before my brain had the chance to think. My chair scraped loudly across the floor as I shoved it back and headed straight for the office door. Every instinct inside me screamed to get to her. It had been a damn week since I’d seen her, and after everything she’d been through, I needed to know with my own eyes that she was alright. I had almost reached the door when Darren grabbed my arm. I ripped it free and rounded on him. “What the fuck, Dare?” I snapped, glaring at him. Before I could reach for the handle again, Byron calmly stepped over and planted his foot against the bottom of the door, blocking it from opening. My eyes bounced between the two of them. I couldn’t believe this shit. What the hell were they thinking? I reached for the handle anyway, but Byron didn’t budge. Darren, on the other hand, didn’t argue. He simply walked back to his desk, opened his laptop, and motioned for me to come over.

Draven’s POV My eyes stayed glued to the security monitor. From everything I had just watched, it looked like the journal really had been blank. Whatever had been written inside it ended with that single sentence, leaving Elena flipping through page after page with nothing else to find. Judging by the expression on her face, she was every bit as confused as I was. Unfortunately… She also seemed convinced I was somehow behind it. I let out a slow breath and leaned back in my chair. “What the hell?” Ash shook his head. “How in the hell is any of this our fault?” His frustration rolled through me because I felt exactly the same way. Up until tonight she’d made one thing painfully clear. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. Every conversation we’d had ended with her walking away, glaring at me, or making it obvious she’d rather be anywhere else. If there had been even the slightest chance of changing her opinion, tonight had probably destroyed it. Now she thought I was stalki

Elena’s POV I reached up and brought my lips to Allan’s ear. Since it seemed like half the damn club was watching us, I figured I might as well put on a show. I leaned in close enough that anyone paying attention would think I was whispering something sweet. Instead, I brushed my lips near his ear just long enough to sell the act before letting out a quiet laugh. I then took his ear lobe between my teeth. I let out a small moan as I ran my tongue up his lobe. Allan groaned. I took that as a clear invitation. I then went down to his neck and sucked his flesh into my mouth. Allan’s shoulders shook with amusement. “I knew it,” he murmured. “You’ve got a plan,” he leaned slightly and said lowly into my ear. A smile tugged at my lips. “You know me too well.” His arm tightened around my shoulders as he leaned closer, looking every bit like a man stealing a private moment with his girl instead of plotting an escape. “Alright, Babygirl. What’s the plan?” I kept smiling while my eyes d

Allan’s POV Everything fell apart faster than I could react. We had a plan. A simple one. I would create a distraction, giving Elena and Lyra enough time to slip away without anyone paying attention. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than walking straight into whatever game Draven was playing. Only… I never got the chance. Before I could even stand from the booth, Darren and several of the men with him suddenly sprinted toward the hallway leading to the restrooms. My stomach instantly tightened. “Elena.” The name barely left my lips before I was already on my feet. Something was wrong. I could feel it. The way they moved wasn’t normal. There wasn’t any hesitation, no confusion, no wondering whether they should intervene. Every one of them looked like they already knew exactly where they were going. “Fuck.” I shoved my chair backward and hurried after them, weaving through the crowded club as people stepped out of the way. The music continued pounding through the speakers whi
