Alpha's Claim, Omega's Surrender BOOK 2Mars Reed POV"What are you even talking about?" Grant growls, his thick shoulders tensing under the dark sheets of the pack lodge bed. His dark eyes narrow at me, looking completely blank, like my words are some riddle he cannot piece together."It means exactly what I said, Grant." I force the words past the tightness in my throat, staring at the collar of his shirt. Just the memory of those dark, purple marks marking the skin of his neck makes my chest ache with a dull, heavy heat. "You do not have to make up some grand story to protect my feelings. I see the marks. I get it."Grant snaps his jaw shut, his sharp gaze cutting straight through me. "When have I ever scented or touched another wolf since I claimed you? Tell me, Mars."He always acts completely chaste, keeping every single male and female in the Silverwood pack at a strict distance during pack business. He never lets anyone cross into his personal space. Yet here those marks are,

Jessa Moore POV"Now you finally see it, Brooke! Grant's true mate bond has always been locked onto my boy Mars, not that fake snake Brooke Caldwell!"Brooke stands there completely speechless, his massive jaw tightening as he crosses his thick, tattooed arms over his bare chest, just watching me blast him with the truth. When I finally run out of breath, he shifts his weight on the wooden floor and mutters, "Are you still trying to get that moonshine, or are you just here to howl?""I am absolutely getting it!"I have a knack for being completely direct. When my wolf is pissed off, I snap, and when I am thrilled, I let everyone know it.Brooke is still recovering from the border skirmish, his stance slightly uneven on his right leg, so I am the one who has to handle the steering handles of the heavy pack transport wagon outside.I am not used to handling these massive iron wagons, especially not one carved out of black steel from the Alpha's personal stables. It takes me a good ten m

Mars Reed POV"Then sit your massive ass down and stop moving, Alpha," Dr. Quincy orders, her fingers moving instantly to press a clean linen cloth over the tearing flesh of his chest. "Let me seal this gash before it ruins the stitching entirely. You definitely do not want Mars Reed walking through that oak door only to find you completely drenched in your own blood, do you?"My breath hitches behind the door as I listen. Silas was completely right about one thing during their shouting match—my scent, my presence, my entire existence is the absolute weak spot of the great Alpha Grant Walker. And right now, the pack healer is using that exact vulnerability to keep his dominant beast completely locked down.Seeing his son finally drop his wild aura and cooperate with the needles, Silas’s sharp panic softens slightly, but the heavy scent of raw irritation instantly floods the space. "You are completely wrecking your own physical strength and risking your position as the Apex leader over

Only later did Mars realize that when Grant growled, "I'll be quick," the dominant wolf wasn’t talking about the length of their coupling, but the raw, terrifying velocity of his thrusts. The stone walls of the private VTN ROOM spun so fast that my eyes couldn't even track the rough-hewn timber of the ceiling anymore. The heavy iron light fixtures blurred into messy streaks of white, then split into burning circles before scattering like starlight in my vision."Could you... maybe move a bit... faster..." I gasped out, my fingers clawing uselessly at the thick furs beneath my back.My thighs felt completely heavy, and my wolf was whining deep in my chest, starved of oxygen and entirely overwhelmed by the massive size of the alpha's knot stretching me open.Yet Grant leaned down, his hot breath catching the tiny scent gland right by my ear as he let out a low, teasing chuckle. "Not fast enough for your heat, Mars? Alright, my beast will speed up a little more.""No, no, no..." I whimpe

Quincy stared at her leather guards, her eyes widening as the direct implication of his rejection clicked in her mind, prompting her to tuck her lip between her teeth with an awkward grimace. "My bad, Alpha. I forgot the scent rules."She watched as Alpha Grant Walker moved forward down the stone corridor of the Walker Ridge Estate, refusing to let her support his weight or even lean his shoulder against the damp stone walls. His broad back remained completely straight, his dominant posture locked as if showing a single fraction of weakness to a pack member was simply not an option for his beast.I knew deep in my wolf's core that Grant must be in absolute agony, the faint tremor in his massive shadow giving away the raw strain on his newly stitched flesh. He had been run through with a silver-tipped blade, the entry and exit wounds tearing his chest and back to shreds until his muscle and blood were a single ruined mess when the warriors dragged his body back to the pack house.I rec
