Elara’s POV The ride to Adelaide’s house felt longer than I remembered probably because my mind refused to stay quiet. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw ice blue eyes staring back at me. “Come back.” I sighed and leaned my head against the window. Why did those two words refuse to leave me alone? The driver slowed in front of a familiar street and my heart settled instantly.
