Lily's POV.By afternoon, I could walk without holding anything.Diego had spent the morning conducting a one-man campaign to ensure I didn't have to: appearing with things before I asked for them, repositioning pillows with care, basically fussing over me like I would break at the slightest mistake. It was easier than arguing, and I understood why he was doing that.By two o'clock, I was sitting up properly and the cramping had settled to something manageable and the color had apparently returned to my face.
