Briar's pov Clara dragged us straight to the dance floor the moment we rejoined the celebration. I was still wearing my wedding gown—minus the veil and undergarments—while Logan had tossed his dress shirt aside, wearing only his suit trousers. I had tried to persuade him to cover up, mostly because his shoulders and chest were marked with bright red scratches from my nails, alongside the deep, fresh claim mark at the base of his neck. She took one look at her brother and gasped, her eyes wide with amusement. He was strutting around with his chin tilted high, openly parading his new mark like a prize. "Look at him," she giggled. "I’ve never seen Logan look so smug in my entire life. What on earth did you two do to each other up there?" A sudden wave of heat rushed to my face. "Quiet!" I murmured, which only made her laugh harder. "I’m serious, Briar," Clara said, her expression softening into genuine affection. "I’ve never seen him this happy. Thank you for making him whole. Hones

Briar's pov I stood in silence for longer than I meant to, taking a few seconds to let the reality of his words sink in. "All right, we can meet up and talk," I managed to say, my breath catching slightly in my throat. According to Alpha Killian, Genevieve hadn't pulled off her betrayal alone—Tristan had been in on it from the very beginning. The two of them had been meeting in secret behind my back ever since she left the Whitefur pack. "Are you completely certain about this?" I asked, pressing the phone closer to my ear. He let out a tired breath. "Yes, Luna Briar. Honestly, I feel terrible about how everything went down. I want to meet in person because I intend to get back at Genevieve for playing me. As for Alpha Tristan, you’ve already dealt him a fitting blow. You might have noticed I deliberately chose not to back him during the Head Council meeting." I hadn't realized he had sat that one out, mostly because my mind had been consumed with my own plans. "Thank you for th

Briar's Pov I raised my eyebrow and said, “Why will I fight outside the pack’s territory? If you want to fight, you have to do it in front of all the pack members.”She shrugged. “I have my condition. If you agree, then I’ll face the challenge you’ve thrown. If you don’t agree, you may leave. Besides, the pack members can always watch it outside the pack’s territory. It’s not like I am hiding anything from them.”I didn’t know the reason behind her strange request, but I had my suspicions. “Okay, I accept the challenge, but—”I looked at Tristan. “You have to give it to me in writing that if I defeat her, you will give me my pack.”Tristan narrowed his eyes at me. After a moment, he said, “Okay, let me draw out the agreement. Meanwhile, you can go to the border. I would like to talk to Genevieve in private.” Just as he was about to go, he looked back at me and remarked, “I always knew you were jealous of Genevieve getting pregnant with my pup. I hope karma bites in your ass for makin

Briar's pov Embarrassment flushed Genevieve’s face while another shock hit me hard. “So it was you who pushed Tristan into giving me the anti-pregnancy shot,” I said, still trying to make sense of her plans. Genevieve jerked her head toward me. “Yes,” she sneered. “It was my idea. So what? Winning means making sacrifices. Tristan was a moron. When he married you two years ago, I visited him and told him I would come back for him. But I made him promise he would never have pups with you, or I would never return. So when I asked, he gave you the shot without a second thought.” She walked closer and cocked her hip. “You know what? That fool loved me and the idea of having his heir with me more than his own mate.” I watched her, still flustered by Killian’s earlier words. From what I had learned, she had used a witch’s love spell on Tristan. I might have forgiven him for that—but this was different. He had chosen her over me even though we were mates. There was no true bond betw

Genevieve's pov My mouth dropped open in shock as I stared at Beta Nico. “What are you saying?” I rasped. “How is this possible?” Beta Nico looked shaken. “I don’t know, Luna Genevieve,” he said with a hint of irritation. “I think you led him to our pack.” “Me?” I snapped my head toward Killian, who narrowed his eyes at me. “Your Beta is talking bullshit! Why would I lead Alpha Logan to us?” Briar interjected, “You tried to seduce Alpha Logan when he visited the Shadowvale pack. I saw how you went to his room in nothing but a bikini top and cut-off shorts. He later told me you claimed you were better in bed than me.” “You bloody slut!” Alpha Killian hissed. If I was shocked by what Nico had just said, Briar’s words brought a different kind of terror to my chest. Killian was doubting me for no reason. “Killian I went there to stop him from taking Briar! Why don’t you understand she is creating animosity between us?” Killian stepped forward and slapped me hard across the face. I
