JADA'S POV TWO MONTHS LATER.... The morning light sliced through the window blinds, far too aggressive for someone who hadn't gotten more than four hours of sleep. I groaned into my pillow as the nausea rolled in again, sharp and sudden, like a wave crashing through my stomach. "Girl, you alive in there?" My best friend's voice floated through the thin apartment wall. I cracked one eye open. "Barely."
