Marco’s P.O.V.When we arrived at my mansion, Zoey had already fallen asleep. I couldn’t resist as I stared hard and long at her, and how beautiful she is while sleeping. The last time I saw her sleeping face was years ago before the hideous breakup. I winced getting wind of the breakup. I won’t lie and say I wasn’t affected.I was traumatized by the event. I felt nauseous and dizzy every time I remember Zoey’s torn face. It was like the world was closing in on me.A cute silent noise came from her luscious pink lips. Her lips were parted lightly, and her breath came soft and light in a steady rhythm. I chuckled to myself and got down from the car.Walking around to her side, I gently brought her out of the car. I walked inside the house with my life in my arms, sleeping peacefully like a baby who doesn’t have a care in the world.I wished I could carry her in my arms forever, her warm skin against mine. Smooth and soft to feel. I dropped her on my bed, knowing fully that she will obj

Zoey’s P.O.V.The feeling of lying on the softest and comfiest arms of a cloud floating in the air, and a peacock feather tickling my face. The effect drugging me into deep sleep coupled with the cool winter breeze.I dragged in air of pleasure and bliss. I didn’t want to wake up, but unfortunately for me, the universe had other plans.A knock on my door startled me from the arms of a peaceful sleep. I groaned, throwing curses at the person for disturbing me. Reluctantly, I got up into a sitting position, rubbing my hands over my face and running them through my bird’s-nest hair. The knock came again and I almost threw something at the person as I glared at the door.“Coming.” I yelled, got down from the bed. I don’t know what was going through my head when I thought it must be Marco at the door. And I was given a wake-up call when I came face to face with a smiling Isabella.“Hi, good morning.” She greets cheekily.“Good morning.” I replied to her. My brow subconsciously rose in ques

Zoey’s P.O.V.“Enjoy your meal.” I smiled politely at the customers after dropping their orders on the table. I huffed out a gush of air, relieved. I’m about to have my first moment of break since I resumed work this morning.I slumped on a seat in front of the counter, dropping the tray I used in serving customers on the counter. The restaurant has been packed with customers since morning, and the workload is killing me.Since we are only three waiters today, two other of my colleagues had called in sick. Luckily, my boss is reasonable as he offered us cool energy drinks every hour.My gaze scanned the restaurant, resting on the guy at the far end of the restaurant. Sitting on his own in a corner, looking as creepy and scary as he looked when he first came here. That was an hour ago.Weird.I shrugged, deciding not to dwell on it. I glanced at the wall clock. It’s a few minutes left for lunch break.“Camilla and Isabella will be here any minute.” I muttered to myself. Those two haven

Zoey’s P.O.V.Five hours. Five long agonizing hours of my life. I waited, waited to get even an air of how the treatment was going.I haven’t moved from the living room since. The room stank of the blood that once pooled on the floor. A maid came and wiped the blood away a while ago, but the metallic smell still lingered.I began pacing the living room again. I’ve lost count of how many times I had paced this room in the last five hours. I kept glancing at the door they disappeared into, hoping one of them will appear, but each time I get disappointed.I groaned and got frustrated, rubbing my hands over my face a hundred times, catching a glimpse of the dried blood on the back of my hand. That was when I took notice that the blood wasn’t just on my hand but was scattered over my front, staining my dress.I couldn’t stop myself from cringing in disgust. The guilt that stabbed my chest left me breathless. I found myself gasping for air. I pulled at my skin, wanting to get rid of the blo

Zoey’s P.O.V.A sharp pain in my abdomen puts my brain on high alert and I jolt awake. The first thing I realized is I’m sore as fuck. The second thing I realize is my cock is in a much better mood than I am. And it’s probably because it’s nestled against an ass that makes me believe that I’m in heaven. My attention shifts to Zoey, the woman that has my world revolving around her. She’s still asleep, breathing in slow even breaths. My arm is draped around her waist holding her against myself. My face is still buried in the back of her neck. Her scent stirs my cock even more than the heat of her body. It’s obvious that all the blood in my system decides to settle down south, and that’s why I don’t have a goddamn shred of common sense left. I didn’t move, not even a fraction of a reaction even after ten minutes of lying here awake. I let her scent consume my veins like my very own personal brand of poison. She shifted a bit, going stiff afterward.I can tell by the way she tilted her he
